So sorry to hear you lost Billy shegar. I hope you can hold on to your happy memories of him :A
Thoughts and prayers with you and your husband. You are both so brave. How you keep going I don't know I am full of admiration for you and wish you every strength.

Sorry Shegar. This time of year brings back some really bad feelings for some of us. My sorrow goes back full 27 years and is very much in the background most of the year, but in these dark , short days of bleak midwinter there seems little consolation after all this time. OH's wife was herself for the last time on Boxing Day even longer ago and then slowly left this world with a brain tumour. We both hasten the turn of the year and the spring, and even if the weather is carp we know we are looking forward. Just cherish what you have, and keep the faith.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

shergar I am so sorry and I know how heartbreaking it is.
Just popped in to have a moan myself.
I managed to pluck up the courage to go into town and get DH a token Christmas gift so he has something to open on the day. My back has been terrible for months and thought if I took it easy and did not go very far I would be ok. As I am sooooooooo reluctant to pay for parking I parked a 5 minute walk from town which was ok until I had to walk back. My back hurt so much the only place I could find to sit down was an Arg*s sofa in the front window. I had to sit as I could hardly move. I had to sit there for over half an hour with my shopping bags and everyone staring at me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I don't usually care what people think but I was getting some very strange looks as I was having spasms :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I do not like shopping:(

I need to up my game a bit - I'm only 37%. Think I will mail it to my friend who is as tight as 2 coats of paint!
Shegar - I'm so sorry to hear about Billy. I can only hope you can take some comfort in knowing he had a happy life with a loving family.
Living Proof- :grouphug: to you as well.
PIC - your shopping trip sounds like hell. I hope you haven't set your recovery back and are taking it easy now. I too hate shopping and I'm fit and well. I turn into some sort of she devil when I have to shop - goodness knows what I'd be like if I was also in pain. I suspect I'd be arrested fairly quickly for GBH of the first person to upset me!0 -
Shegar sending hugs to you both. And good wishes for tomorrow at the hospital.
As for the test I scored 67%!!0 -

I only got 47%, but a lot of those questions don't apply to me - I don't go out to work, don't go out for meals or to the pubs (I begrudge spending that kind of money :rotfl:) However, re the cinema, we always take our own snacks (we only go rarely though - usually only Harry Potter films). For the last HP film I made up bags of popcorn and took bottles of water filled from the tap. I also took crisps for everyone, but they were the Tesco value ones :rotfl:The family were all looking a bit glum seeing everyone else buying horrendously expensive goodies from the kiosk, knowing that I wouldn't buy any of it in a million years, so they were all delighted when I opened my voluminous bag and handed over some goodies from home.0 -
((hugs)) shergar it must have been a horrible day.0

Hey, I'm new. I'm sorry--I don't know what the "T-thread" is referencing. Can someone shed some light? Thanks.0

Kzaremba - it's 'tough', but never mentioned....
Shegar, I'm also sorry to hear about your loss ((hugs))
I have a quick question for anyone of you lovely people in the know.
The OH's best friend who is also a good friend of mine, is going away on deployment in February next year. He always buys some lovely presents for us, but it's always something that we need - posh slippers, all terrain running shoes for the OH; that sort of thing.
The question is - what the hell do we get him? He has everything (including a crossbow which was a last minute inspiration for his 30th), and can tell us nothing. The OH is totally out of ideas too.
The only thing I can think of is a book of 'vouchers' which state that every month we will send him something that he needs or misses while he's away. I think this is excellent, the OH thinks it's pants.
Any ideas??
