On a t**** note, I've just taken the 'How tight are you?' test on this week's email, you can do the same here
I was 56%... come on, I've told you mine, now you tell me yours
59% :THi thanks to all you well wishes I appreciate it so much, had a real !!!! week,Monday we got to rapid stroke assessment unit at 8 , so I said to the nurse Oh lovely here early so we wont be too long then??, then the bad news "you will be here until 5..." they wanted to do MRI scan CT scan, boolds, urine, BP ,neck scan ,see junior neuro dr, the neuro consultant, and it went on , to cut long story we got out of there at 4.30, wore out the pair of us, believe it or not they are still not sure about the mini stroke...!!.
We go back tommorow to see his neuro dr that he has always been under since the first stroke....dont ask......
Very sad news, we lost little billy also on the hospital day monday, so so very sad, poor hubbies emotions are all over the place because of his delicate head, he really has been unconsolable at times, its been heart breaking, ive got to be the strong one for both of us, yet im a wreck, ive been trying to cry away from hubby cos im trying so hard not to get him upset, but to say its been a real bad week is a understatement...........We had all this going on when we were up the hospital all day monday , I had 3 calls from vet, etc etc, there I was crying in the corriders with hubby in the wheelchair , billy getting worse and I couldnt be at the vets....
I really didnt want to do that, but when theres so much on your plate at one go, its bloody god dam hard................We miss the boy so much......Ive totally lost all interest in xmas, in fact ive been so close to taking the decorations down ,if it wasnt for me being so tired and drained they would definately be down end of.............So sorry to come on the thread so near to christmas and off load these terrible times im having, but to sit and type does help a bit..............So im off to bed early again for another long day a head, carer in at 7 so its a bit later than it has been ,neighbour has been brill, came 2 days running and fed the hens etc, and also buried billy for me ......I know the pain will ease, we said at the moment we definately arnt going out to get another dog, its the dam pain you have to go through when you lose your pets..........................Ive cancelled various things that were on this week because I think we need time to take things in and a slower pace for a week or two, excluding hospital appointments.........Pray for a happy ,healthy, peaceful new year.......
Shegar - so sorry about BillyTry to focus on the lovely life he had with you, and that he didn't have a long battle at the end, but went peacefully.
 at how long you were at the hospital - hope they have some answers for you and DH xx0 -

My friend's roof repair turned out to be more complicated than first thought so no visit from himI'm glad his roof is now watertight, but I've seen him about 3 times in the past two years and exchanging emails just isn't the same. It means that I've wasted the morning sitting around waiting, but on the plus side the shortbread tin is still full. I used to be able to meet him during his lunch break, but then he changed jobs.
I know it's only a small thing compared to other people's troubles and I apologise for moaning. It's just one in a long list of little things that seem to be going wrong/getting cancelled at the moment.
Time for a cuppa and something sugar laden I think

I'm sorry to hear that, SDG.
How about a game to play while we all enjoy our tea / coffee / sweet treats - here you go for something seasonal.
I'm off to get a :coffee:Back after a very long break!0 -

I am having a lull in the cooking fest - DD is making her second swiss roll as the first one was a disaster. More trifle sponge for the freezer. She has also made cupcakes.
I am about to make mince pies, quiche and will ice the christmas cake. Was going to gather some greenery but the weather is pants!I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

So sorry FTM, what a terrible thing to happen so close to a family time (never a good time, but always seems worse at a time when everone is supposed to be happy). {{{hugs}}}
It does seem that there is a lot of sad, bad and generally depressing news around, people on the forum are having a hard time of it. But we are a resiliant lot, I am sure we will all walk in the sunlight soon.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
That's really sad ftm., how awful for your dd and all the family. My very best wishes and ((((hugs)))) to you all.Normal people worry me.0

hi everyone
shergar so sorry about your loss of billy and i hope your hubby gets back on track soon
flowertotmum so sorry to hear your very sad news
we have had a crazy 2 weeks my hubby went for his second 6 week check a week ago since he was cleared of throat cancer and the week before we had found a lump in his neck so we knew there was a problem and the surgeon said he wanted an ultrascan done quick and they would probably have to do a needle biopsy as well:( so we have waited for the appt but hasn't shown we were thinking we would be lucky to get one before xmas but were hoping but never mind we will have to wait till after xmas it's just a shame as it overshadows all that we do at the moment but hopefully it is just something simple like scar tissue and just trying to keep hubby upbeat and having my cry time in the bath
we are having a lazy day today and then get the presents wrapped tomorrow i know totally unorganised but haho i hope that everyone else is having an easier time and gets what they want for christmas i can't wait to see my sons face on xmas morning thats the best part of the day even though he's 16
so merry christmas everyone :xmassmile
