Ok start piling onto the bus, I've cleared the shed out for you and the overflow can go in the hall cupboard. Mind the hoover.
Er, excuse me, when I invited you down to Suffolk because you had no summer I cleared the spare room for you and now you're providing sub-standard accommodation for the Pilgrimage to Mar's?. Luckily for me I'm not currently ill :rotfl:
I did nearly have a heart attack yesterday - pup waded into a river - no problem there but then he waded into a dryer bit and got stuck in primeval mud. He made it to the other bank and I was getting ready to go after him when he started to come back himself. He seemed to have got the hang of how to wade in mud and kept his head up - although all his legs and half his tummy were sunk in. He wasn't whining or crying so I let him get on with it and eventually he made it. When we got back to the car I had to take off my jacket so I could lift him into the boot using it like a blanket.
My heart didn't stop racing until we were both bathed and the washing machine was on. He slept for a record 4 hours solid in the afternoon but is absolutely fine today. We are NEVER going by that bit of river with him off the lead again :rotfl:"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -

Exploding xmas tree? :eek::rotfl:
I usually wait until the week before, but last year I only got the tree half decorated and didn't decorate anywhere else because with FIL in hospital with cancer, it was a bit of a downer.
Mind you, this year I have had no xmas mojo whatsoever, so I'm wondering if I should put up the decs early to get me in the mood. Usually by now, I've got all the pressies and wrapped them and have my menu sorted, lists all ticked etc. Only got some presents so far.Ignore me, I hate xmas anyway. I prefer new year.
Gigervamp - if you find your xmas mojo can you please have a look for mine - I think they've eloped together:eek::eek:
I've come down with a cold and I'm really chesty(as in rattling and wheezing, not size;)) I think it's the penalty for having a flipping good weekend!!!!
Sorry mardatha, not going to ignore you:D Christmas is OK but new year has changed where I am,I remember going out with nan, banging bin lids and saucepans and watching the neighbours doing a conga up the road.
Simple pleasures!!!!!!!!Give without remembering,receive without forgetting.0 -
MIL always used to ring us and blow a bugle down the phone! She's going away this year, so it looks like it's down to us to blow it.
If I find my mojo having a party with yours I'll give them a good telling off and tell them to get back to where they're meant to be!0 -
oooh I LOATHE New Year, it depresses the heck out of me... I switch the phone off and try to ignore it. As for New Year's Day - UGH!!!0

That's because you get bat faced woman!!!
Um Christmas. That means it will be time yet again to fight with the Christmas tree against the one known as FAT KNACKER!!! It won't even be dressed before she is up it.
I have been feeling quite low recently and not sure exactly why. Even the new ankle boots purchased at lunchtime haven't cheered me up too much.
However, Sunday night I am going out to a party. The theme is famous dead people and I have been "nominated" to go as Audrey Hepburn. This should make for an intereting evening. I know Freddie Mercury will be there as will Lady Di on her wedding day. Darth Vada has threatened to put in an appearance. too, among others.
Oh and the stairs carpet is finally being fitted on Monday - just not too early! :rotfl:
I just need to get a grip of this dark cloud. It needs to bog off and let the sun shine through again.0 -
New Year is a nice shiny new page in a school jotter ! A nice new house with clean bare walls to decorate ! A new turn in the path of life ! Our old neighbour used to stand at his back door at midnight and empty both barrels of his shotgun. I read somewhere it was an old tradition to ward off witches0
