There's no such thing in my house - everything goes in even vases and the odd ornament. My SIL was horrified I put baked on dishes and pots in but I told her that's the point of a dishwasher - even if they need 2 or 3 trips round they will be in there until they are clean!
Hubby has a stainless steel flask which quite clearly states "not dishwasher proof" and we know from the previous one that eventually they rust inside so my response was to buy two - that way I have a replacement for when it's done. Not very MSE I know but I'll make up for it in other ways. It's all about getting the balance right for you:D
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at all the aboveWell after all that I still never got my cheerios had a bit of a shock at the hospital and came home in a daze so my Dad's taken the vouchers instead.
DS2's heart has deteriorated so he's now facing open heart surgery poor sod he just sat there in the chair shellshocked..we thought his major ops were behind him:(:(
Had an idea the last op hadn't been easy on him so although I'm not entirely surprised its still a bit hard to take in ATM..
Gutted is an understatement
Oh D&DDSo sad for you and DS
:( Thoughts and prayers with you both (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
DD&D sending hugs for you and your DS.
Have been reading on my phone but too tired to post. Having had an ambulance take me to hospital on Tuesday night for a stay, it turns out I have pleurisy on top of the pneumonia. So have strong painkillers to take as well. Feeling guilty as my parents are seriously struggling to cover my absence with school runs, meetings and appointments. Ds school once again being obstructive - keep texting me complaining he has been late! Dad is furious, he has explained I am not to be disturbed but they even rang me in hospital.
On the plus side everyone is getting an insight into how difficult it is and how much work I do. My mum keeps saying she can't see how i possibly do it alone!!
Kidcat - Really hope you get better soon - I keep hearing people getting pneumonia recently.... puzzling.... Hope the painkillers and anti-biotics are helping. Rest up and ignore the school number if it comes up on your phone - can't believe the school are piling on the pressure when you are going through such a rotten time
I am watching CIN with DD2 (DD1 asked to go to bed as she is tired and poorly) and tbh I am not really emotionally strong enough to be watching it atm, so am on here trying to make sure I don't cry. I can't turn it of because she has been looking forward to watching it after learning all about Pudsey and what CIN does and who it helps, at school today.

VJ'smum I ended up putting those cheap pine racks under my stairs and using it as a storecupboard It holds a lot when shelved out in some way
I have a pic somewhere will try and dig it out to inspire you when you are in the depths :rotfl:
*Disclaimer my cupboard presently looks nowhere near as tidy thanks to AFoods!!* PS they have free postage...not looking!!
Katie loved the banana comment about yours, mine and cake we work to a similar system here too!
Frugal sorry to hear you're feeling a bit fragile sending you a squidgy hug from here XX0 -
kidkat - pleurisy on top of pneumonia  I had pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism. You WILL get better but it WILL take time, lots of it. You are young and your body has the resources to deal with this but you must give it time to do so. Look after yourself, and as far as you can, let others do so too
D&DD - what an absolute bummer. I don't really know what to say but that you and DS are in my thoughts tonight

Yep! I just thought of that a few minutes ago and have Sky+ so it will record from the beginningI have also paused it whilst I took DD some meds and water - she was sparko already though. I think I will FF the very sad bits too... Feel a bit bad doing that, in a way, but definately not able to cope with trauma atm.
DD can watch it tomorrow too.
Didn't do a great job of holding back on the tears but I guess its good for DD to know its ok to be sad about the stories they tell on CIN.
I was cheered up by the Eastenders performanceI thought that was brilliant.
D&DD - thanks - like you, I have had a dreadful year with various things, worst was losing my Dad in the summer, and am only just starting to feel a little bit better so I tend to crumble when I read/hear of sadness. xxx0 -

((((D&DD and Kidcat))))))
I think they're talking about Appr0ved Foods, not Am@zon; though you can buy some foods from the latter, the prices are astronomical!0 -
D&DD sorry to hear about your DS2
