@amancalledmartin- i think millionaire is right- immediate results are what we all want but almost never get. Your exercise will help the process along no doubt too.
I also agree about having a piece of clothing to tell you what's going on in the clothing department- mine is my work trousers- which i currently am unable to wear
Had my jab today and boy did my arm smart.:(
So in comforting myself i had 3 slices of french toast with various toppings and a cup of tea.
Snacks were 2 chocolate wafers and a packet of ww cheesy poofs:D
Supper with the folks- 2 small ribs, 4 slices of garlic bread, 2 tablespoons of mince and green veg. (they eat really spicy food so i pick what's least spicy from the fridge)
Pudding was a slice of pineapple upside down cake.
I'll probably have a wafer at bed time.:pBlessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Thanks, guys. I'm sure you're probably right. Damn you for being so sensible! I'm only kidding. I do xpect immediate results because that's what keeps you going. But I'm not giving up. There were three doughnuts in the house yesterday and I didn't eat one of them! The result of this could be that I end up with a very fat husband.....!0

Well food intake not great but I did walk loads yesterday and have aching calf muscles to validate that.:j0

:oI'm not even going to write down what I have eaten today BUT it has been a stressful day and that's my excuse of the day.
I have a fab long black dress with v back and front. Beautifully cut skirt which swings as you dance. It's sleeveless but has fabulous satin binding all around the neckline. We have a big 'do' in our office. i work for the government so office is HUGE. I really really want to wear it. That's it !!
I am loving this thread though as it is really starting to kick my butt for me and make me want to get a move on. I hate weight watchers diet and much prefer the slimming world one ....you get more grub on that
Your dress sounds lovely, and I am sure you will wear it too. Postive thinking, I bet you will look fabulous.
Well, that was a heavy couple of days, survived and fortunately don't feel too bad (although I deserved it)
Just cooking:
Jerk pork and rice and peas for dinner tonight (and left over pork for sons luch tomorrow)
Pumpkin soup for lunches next week (friend gave me pumpkin so free lunches!)
Cottage pie for Monday night dinner (mash I brought home from friends it was left from last nights dinner)
Have chicken for Tuesday night (In some form or another)
Left over cottage pie for Weds night.
Steak for Thurs (half price in Morrisons :T)
Lasagne and salad Fri night (In the freezer from a previous week)
Saturday going to a vintage fair and taking son and his GF out for lunch (Sat will be my treat day, so won't be quite as strict)
Sun roast pork and veggies, mash and apple sauce (from apples off my mums tree)
Breakfast everyday will be either porridge or weetabix, cup of tea, lunches will be soup (probably pumpkin all week, won't need a spray tan at this rate) with crackerbread and extra low fat cream cheese, a Muller light yoghurt and at least 3 pieces of fruit in between if I want it.
Dinners at night will all be accompanied with veg or salad.
No wine at all this week, no puddings and no bags of cheese puffs (I love them), no biscuits at work, not even a rich tea (as I can't stop at one).
I find it easier with things such as wine, cheese puffs and biscuits not to have any, rather than one as a "treat" or point with WW. Not got any will power and one is never enough.
So, all planned out, hope it all comes together and my weight gets reduced this week.....
Good luck ladies and well done to those who reduced a bit this week.
JA8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0 -

Eeek, I've just looked up the size guide for size eights at M&S (where I bought one of the dresses from).
The waist is 26 inches. Last time I measured mine it was 30 inches! I'm not sure it's possible to lose that much in 8 weeks.
I'm now hoping that I actually bought a size 10 (although that's only 27 inches waist). I bought the dress a few years ago when I was thinner just never had chance to wear it.
I have in my wardrobe a skirt that belonged to my mother - the label says 26" waist, size 14. Younger people think that I was big when I say I used to be a size 12 when I was first married - but I had a 24" waist then, which I guess would be a size 6 now!
I told myself a couple of days ago 'no chocolate till Christmas' - but really wanted some yesterday. I resisted but then ate some crisps so they have had to join the club, 'no crisps till Christmas'. It's going to be so hard though.
So I'd like to join in - I have 2 little black dresses not worn for such a long time, it would be fabulous to wear them again, but I'll not lose enough by Christmas but I'd like to think I'll have lost some weight by then

Thanks, millionaire in training
My birthday is just before Christmas so I'll have to be careful then. I do like hot chocolate, and I've not said I'll not have that, but I think I will have to ration it to once or twice a week
I have boxes of Guylian in the house, which I love, but I will have to see them as presents for the time being and resist them. I could almost eat a box at one sitting, and once I almost didNot Rachmaninov
