Ladies, just being nosy here, what do you all do for jobs and what are you wearing for your Xmas parties and more importantly what are you wearing?
I am an office manager for a Wealth Management company in Warwickshire. I have ordered a jumpsuit from Bravissimo (my friends works there so I got it half price :T) We are venturing to Nottingham for the night out, one of my bosses lives up that way and decided that is where we are going this year. They have paid for a nice hotel for me and my work colleague, who is about 6 1/2 stone soaking wet, although I hope I never become as obsessive as her over food, she is very petite and only 5 foot tall, so have no aspiration to look like her at all.
Have just been to the hospital with a poorly knee, diagnosed with femoral patella syndrome, and advised to take any exercise carefully until MRI scan and x-rays have been done and the results are back. So will now need to be extra carefull with anything that passes my lips, as there won't be enough exercise to warrant any extra calories. Not that I did much anyway, but every little helps.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Joesaunt xx
Ow on the knee Joesaunt hope they can sort it soon.
Nottongham and hotel sound lovely. Im sure you will look great:j0 -

I have a burgundy jumper dress that looks fairly festive. I'll probably dress it up with either a long necklace or a chunky belt.
I have to be careful at our do's as I work in an office full of men and have had unwanted attention before. I have found, however, that since I've started losing weight I've started to gain a bit of confidence and have started wearing clothes that do show my figure a little. I was amazed on my wedding day that I actually have a defined waist! :rotfl:
Burgandy is such a nice colour. What is it with man the slightest bit of attention and they think they are in!:j0 -

I need to tone up and lose about 15 lbs to look good in my LBD this Christmas... it's on! Toning shouldn't be too hard, I'm a cheerleader and do gymnastics as well as free weights - it's the cardio that's the problem for me!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

I have a fab long black dress with v back and front. Beautifully cut skirt which swings as you dance. It's sleeveless but has fabulous satin binding all around the neckline. We have a big 'do' in our office. i work for the government so office is HUGE. I really really want to wear it. That's it !!

Oh dear, it was going so well today, up to about 3:30 this afternoon when I succumbed to a Twix and then it went downhill from there! Hopefully keeping a diary will help me see when I need to have some healthy snacks on hand.
Bfast - Toast
Morning Snacks - Pumpkin seeds, one maryland choc chip cookie, apple
Lunch - Boots shapers pasta and chicken salad
Mid afternoon snack - Twix
Home from work snack - bag of salted microwave popcorn (oops!)

Hi all
I'd love to join you, please. I'm looking to lose about 10lb, so not a huge amount, but I'm struggling. I got married three years ago and the weight has slowly crept on. Hubby does most of the cooking (which is great) but it means he gives me man-size portions which I really shouldn't be eating. Last Friday I started the 30 Day Shred and thought it was working really well. Done it 6 times in 8 days. But when I weighed myself this morning I'd put on 1lb. Wasn't too concerned because I probably have gained muscle and I was more interested in inch loss. But I've put on half an inch on my waist, my stomach and my bust! (Ok; not too worried about the last!). Plus lost absolutely nothing on my hips or thighs. I was feeling so positive and now I feel rubbish.0 -

This could probably just be to do with time of the month or something like that, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Don't feel rubbish, it sounds like you're doing something positive by making yourself healthier. You should be proud of yourself.0 -
hi folks. I always think we epect miracles fro, exercise and it takes a while to see results. Also the small differences you have seen could just be because you are holding the tape measure more loosely. Very difficult to get results. Go more by how your clothing feels and that should help more.
I am building up to starting on Monday. I need to get that dress on and I now only have 8 weeks until 17th December and need probably 2 stones off. OOOOO big ask :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
