:rotfl:ta ....... I *think* I get the jist of it (very loosely:o in that you buy stuff on offer and buy it back from yourself at slightly less than full price?) but I just can't ever see me being organised enough to do it - how on earth do you know by looking in the cupboard what's "in stock" and what you need to buy?
As for the money side of it - I'm afraid that's beyond me!:o
SF glad to have another "don't get it" member, welcome!:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

How do I know what's in stock?
Mainly I don'tI have one cupboard in the kitchen that's only Second Purse stock. Before I do my weekly shopping, I write a list as normal and then check the cupboard to see if any of the stuff on the list is in the cupboard.
Money side
I do have a spreadsheet, but it's a PITA to remember to complete it, so I've taken to scrawling the "sale price" of something on the tin/pack so I know how much to give the Second Purse.
I thought it sounded like insanity when I first started, but what I do now is a big monthly shop as I normally would when I get paid, but I'm buying at least half of those items from my own wee shop, and more money is trickling into my piggy bank as the weeks go on. It does work, it just sounds batty :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

That's me too - I've read through it a few times, and it just seems a bit too much effort, and its still confusingI buy things we use when they're on offer, then I don't need to buy them later - without a second purse? Maybe I'm just being lazy....

Morning folks.
Sorry I've been missing for a bit, but it's been a bit of a rubbish week and I haven't really felt like postingI'm officially at risk of redundancy (again!) and will find out next month if I'm getting paid off from my job. That part I'm not too worried about as I'm entitled to a reasonable redundancy package and will use the funds to live on while I find a new job, I'm just not sure how easy it will be to find one
Money:
PAD/Spends - £42
Entertainment - £1.74
Savings - £66
Overdraft - £140.79
So, I'm clearly a little skintI've been doing Swagbucks a LOT over the last month and have just redeemed my third £5 Amazon voucher. I gave one of them to Mr F to top up his Kindle, so I'm waiting for one to arrive and a voucher from MySurvey as well. I'm currently planning on using Amazon for a LOT of Christmas and birthday presents this year. This thread has been great for helping me maximise the SBs I'm earning and next month I'm aiming for £25 in vouchers which is the most you can get when claiming £5 at a time. (Happy to refer anyone who isn't already using the site!!)
Better run to work, hope everyone else is ok
