Had a lovely lunch yesterday with Souk - I finally got my Fringe programme but still no shoes
Must shop before drinking wine next time
I seem to have developed a bit of a cold which isn't great, but once I've had breakfast I'm going to attack it with Sudafed then ignore until we've been out and about in the town
Moneywise things are ok but not fabulous. I'm not PADding until I have money, which looks like it won't be until payday. I seem to have been a bad budgeteer this month, so will have to review my spending and figure out what I've doneI should have enough money to feed us for the next 13 days, so I'm not concerned about that; although I've had to take money out of the third purse to pay for fun spends this week while I'm off work. That being said, the whole point of the third purse is to pay for fun things, so I don't feel too bad

Morning
Real life appears to have been getting in the way of posting again
I'm going back to work today (BAH!) after a lovely, lazy week off. I used the money in my third purse for any spends, so it's not really cost me any real money either.
I had a lovely day at my craft class on Saturday and made some AMAZING things - not the kind of thing I would normally do but I've been inspired to create different things now so the class will hopefully get me out of the crafty rut I sometimes find myself stuck in. Here is a link to what I made. None of this was done without a lot of supervision from the ladies taking the class, but it helped me realise that things like this aren't as hard as they look.....so I now have a vast list of supplies I will "need" and am looking forward to trying more things out.
In other good crafty news, I've been asked to be on another Design Team which means that I make projects fortnightly which are showcased on a blog and in return I get to make things using their range of supplies. More info is here.
MSE news is thin on the ground as I haven't been PADding and have been trying to be as frugal as I can be (not easy when you have craft essentials to buy!) I've just ordered my fourth Amazon giftcard of the month so am working my way up to my final one at the moment as you can only claim five from SB each month. I'm still going to work on earning points though and be ready to redeem at the start of July. I'm waiting on three vouchers arriving, and once they do I'll have over £30 in credit in my Amazon account :j

Hope going back to work is not too bad, I am on day 11 of 12 off now..... Wednesday is going to be hard!!!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

Pretty chuffed this morning as I've nearly met my target for SB for the month - I should be able to request my fifth £5 Amazon voucher today or tomorrow :j :j
You can only claim five of the same reward every month, so I'm going to keep on accumulating the points and hopefully will be able to redeem in July for another five. Anything that I have over and above that I will use to claim Paypal credit, as that's going to be useful for me too.
Not a lot of other MSE news to report....it's a week until payday and money is more of a concept than a fact. Next month is going to be full of meal planning and budgeteering!!0 -
Well done on SB :j

Not a bad MSE day yesterday as I managed to get some bargains
I bought a pair of shoes for the wedding I'm going to next week which cost me nothing as I had vouchers :money: I then bought a makeup bag from Boots using my Advantage points (not for makeup, this is for my craft supplies when I'm away from the house!!) My final bargain was a load of things I "need" for crafting but didn't have the money for which I bought using my Amazon credit earned from Swagbucks :money:
There are still five long days till payday though...!0 -
Yah for free stuff :j

It's payday!!
Pennies:
PAD/Spends - £150
Entertainment - £34.06 as I've paid my monthly craft club and Edinburgh Fringe tickets this morning
Cat fund - £150
Christmas/birthday - £45.23
Car fund - £400 although this includes £100 for petrol this month so really it's £300. Normally I buy a petrol card and use it in Edinburgh but we're a-wandering this week so it's easier to be able to use cash.
Savings - £66 although...
Credit card balance - £39ish
Outstanding overdraft - £124.28
Groceries - £130 (Did big shop pre-payday as we're away this weekend)
Second purse - £20
I bought some presents for me with the Amazon balance I had, so it's now down to £4.01 but I've claimed my maximum amount of Amazon cards from SB this month and already have enough in my account with them to claim £10 on the 1st of July. I'm hoping that by the end of the month I'll have enough sitting in SB to claim £20 or even £25 right away.
I'm aiming to clear my credit card this month and to get the OD under £100. I'm not PADding at the moment as I'm trying to improve my general budgeting skills, which is working ok....for now!! Thankfully I've managed to convince Mr F that he needs to be helping out with money, so I usually get something from him each fortnight when he gets his DLA. It's not a lot but as they say in the big supermarkets Every Little Helps0 -

Not a lot to report apart from that really. Our wanderings round Scotland were great and we saw lots of family and friends, having a very good time indeed. The petrol fund has taken a hammering though, so we're not going far for the rest of the month
Fat Club has also taken a hammering thanks to the travels, so I'm back on the wagon today. I've downloaded a tracker app to my phone, so hopefully that'll help me to keep on top of it.
Just thought I would post a wee update as Rising pointed out to me that I've been quietI'm meeting her and Beanie for coffee on Sunday which I'm greatly looking forward to
