I got dazzled by the HTC Desire when it first came out and took a two year contract which only has 500MB of internet. I had to pay £5 per month to double that and often go over it
My contract finishes in August, and I'm going to try and save up for a new phone as I can get a good deal with Virgin Media on a SIM-only contract. If I pay for the handset myself, I'll get a bill of less than £20 per month which will work out well over time. Hopefully.
That being said, I'm trying not to get suckered into an iPhone

If you paid in via the ATM then you shouldn't need a slip but if it's the quick deposit thing you might do. I'm not sure though as branches in Englandshire have auto-deposit boxes which we don't have here. Check your account this morning and call them if it's not there.
Part of the issue with the phone is that I don't have a lot on at work at the moment so I faff with my phone. We don't have wi-fi in the office0 -
Ooh panicing a bit now as we were in the phone shop the other day and they said 500MB was more than enough and that we'd never reach that usage - although they did say we would if we were watching a footie match on it - which we wouldn't do so thought 500MB would be ok
Well Done on the weight loss :j I can do with losing some but no pennies for any weight loss clubs or the gym - having said that i'm not eating alot and what i tend to be eating isn't cake / choccy / crisps / sweets - which i do eat just not every day / all the time and i am exercising - flipping thyroid  Oh well !
psychpathbabble - hope the payment you made is in your account ok xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

It was the ATM, it's not there. Should I call the branch or national number? Sorry for hijacking...
ETA: Just called the national number and apparently it just depends when the branch staff empty the machine. You don't need a paying in slip. Phew.

I also got 500mb when I got my contract (iPhone, which I love and wouldn't be without - sorry FF!
) and if you do fb/twitter form your phone on a regular basis, it's not enough. Plus every time you upload emails etc, that's more data... So you either need to be disciplined enough not to use it unless in wifi, or get a minimum 1gb of data....
I'm not disciplined, so also pay an extra £5pm for an extra 500mb

I completely agree with this, I wouldn't be without my iPhone either and I got 500mb with my contract. I am fairly disciplined but I have access to internet at work (which I spend most of the day on:o) It might be worth paying the extra £5 but my contract is £35.74 per month so that takes it back to the £40 you are paying now
Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
