Morning everyone
I'm just having a leisurely start to the day and having a cuppa :coffee: before i start making a cooked brekkie - not done one for ages - already had beans, tomatoes and eggs in and sausages and bacon were massively reduced :j:j:j And its likely to be the only meal me and OH have together today and as i can't afford for us to go out tomorrow it seems like a good compromise
Fresian - thank-you so, so, so much - you are so generousI have to confess though - i saved the details of essential craft making stuff you listed - but my links aren't working  and i was looking to buy off of the bay of e this weekend:
a sharp craft knife
a cutting mat
and the alternative to glue that you mentioned that made things look glossy if put on top
oh and
pro-markers - but there seem to be lots of different priced and i don't know why ?
So if you have a second to pop down which knife / mat are a good buy and any of the other info. i'd be gratefulI just hate wasting money and as i'm starting out with this i really do not know the best item / s to choose
Later on i'll get the corner rounder, craft scissors and paper trimmer or guillotine and again these all confuzzle me as there are so many
Hope everyone has a good weekend xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
VERY quick reply as I'm on my way to the movies and I'm LATE!
I have:
XCut cutting mat/scissors/knife
Use Glossy Accents instead of glue. It's strong as hell and you can use it as a glossy embellishment too!0 -
The cheapest place to buy Promarkers is from Hobbycraft (packs of five for under a fiver) or from Cowling and Wilcox (as above)0

Aw thanks for the advice hon
Enjoy the movies!

Hey Fresian!
R.E. Your Manchester trip: consider my pickly butt well and truly in action!flying_fresian wrote: »The shower gel offer you mentioned sounds pretty good, but I'm trying not to overstock. Unless they have mens gels too.....I could buy some for Mr Fresian. I normally use Soap and Glory shower gel and buy when it's on 3 for 2 - you think yours is expensive, this one is £6.00 a bottleI justify it because it lasts for months[/] as each bottle is half a litre
I had one bottle of that stuff. Once. It lasted F-O-R-E-V-E-R. I'm not sure that any stuff in the same bottle with the pump that dispenses the tiniest amount of stuff ever wouldn't last forever, but it's seriously MSE because of how long it lasts, even if it costs a bit to start with! (I may have filled my bottle up with another shower gel once it ended...)Please call me 'Pickle'
No More Buying Books: ???
No More Buying DVDs: ???
NMB Toiletries ??? and I've gone back for my Masters at the University of Use Ups!
Proud to be dealing with her debts 1198~

What did you watch at the movies ?
We went to go and see Streetdance 2 which is just as daft as you would think, but very good fun
I don't know if you really need a book to be honest (maybe cancel if you can and use the pennies for another treat!!) I get most of my information/inspiration from craft magazines or from the Making Cards thread on MSE. Most of the ladies on there have blogs like I do and are happy to share their hints/tips when people ask. You should pop over and join us - we're not a very MSE group of people though :rotfl: The craft magazines look expensive (sometimes £5 each if not more) but there's normally good "free" gifts with them which add to your stash without too much cost.
I'm also currently subscribing to two craft magazines - one came with nearly £40 of pens as a subscription gift and I'm paying less per issue than I would in the shops and the other was 5 issues for £5 (I'm probably going to cancel after that as the magazine isn't brilliant but it was a good way to trial it!) :money:0 -
Well my bank accounts have reached the "Last Gasp Before Payday" look, so there should be a lot of NSDs in my future :rotfl:
My plans for this weekend coming (and yes, I'm already counting down until Friday) include a craft show ten minutes away from where I live. Woo! I'll have less to spend than normal as I was only at the SECC at the beginning of March but I've got £30 in my crafty fun account and should have £50 in Paypal money on its way to me, so it's a self-funding fun trip0 -

The food purse is now at £25.73 which is accounted for by buying teabags/margarine from my own stockpile and by an excellent haul of whoopsies last night - four pack of muffins for 40p, fruit/veg at 10p each etc. The second purse is now at £40.47 which means that on payday I should take it over £50 which means I can move some money to savings. Woo!
I should only need milk, fruit and veg until payday as the freezers are groaning
Where is the original info for the multi purse idea? I tried to search 'purse' in the forum but had a million results!!
