Just a quickie to say it was lovely to see you & meet Mr F today .... chips were yummy (and, although it pains me to say this, at least as good as the other chip shop I usually go to;)).

Thanks so much for the lovely card :D it's fab & I'm chuffed to bits to have a "Fresian original" - it will be a "keeper"!:D

However, it has reminded me that I still need a table to put the sewing machine on - so must do some hunting around to see if I can find one. Have loads of stuff to make some cat beds for the shelter but can't sew atm.....

Pants to the rain but we can have a lovely walk on the beach another day when the sun is shining and hopefully I'll have my new 4-legged companion by then!

PS I resisted temptation on the way home!:j(and if I get the sewing machine up and running, there's no reason I couldn't make one!)

You are going to sew a new four legged friend? This I have to see :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:It would be a lot easier ..... and much more MSE in terms of upkeep costs!:rotfl::rotfl:

'tis but a flying visit my little gherkin :D

Going to be arriving around 2pm one day and returning around 10am the next :( Coming down with a very good friend to see Pearl Jam at the MEN Arena. VERY excited!!

We're going to need somewhere to have dinner though....fancy joining us? Will likely be a local Pizza Express as we're both poor and I'll have Tesco vouchers ;)

    Hey Fresian!

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm super busy at the minute, and don't get to be around so much. :o

I would love to meet you and your friend for dinner, but I don't know if I can make it yet. I'm doing a college course that is taking up pretty much every minute that isn't work at the minute (hence the business), and it's all due to finish early June (not quite sure when), so depending on whether Pearl Jam are playing after the course finishes or not - as my last few weeks are bound to be sleepless affairs full of workworkwork - I might not be able to make it.

    But I might. :D

I certainly hope you can make it :D

We'll be in town on the 20th of June, so work your little pickley butt off and we can celebrate with a cocktail or two ;)

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £39
    Entertainment - £13.61
    Car fund - £25.14
    Groceries - £34.38
    2nd purse - £31.67
Loan balance - Unknown as online banking broken :(
    Savings - £300

I have £61.49 in my account for Christmas/birthdays which will shortly be taking a hit as it's Mr Fresian's birthday at the end of the month. I suspect I'll end up taking money from my savings to be honest.

I did have slightly more money sitting in my savings pot, but inspired by Rising I've set up a pot on online banking called Moggy Money which I'm going to use to set aside money for vet bills for my cats. They're getting on a bit now and this year has shown me how blooming expensive that's got the potential to be. There's only £32 in there at the moment, but it's a start.

The food budget is a little concerning, as there's 11 days until payday, but creative mealplanning/budgeting will be the name of the game. Part of the issue is that Mr Fresian is trying out lacto-free milk as we think he might be lactose intolerant. We're using the same volume of milk, but it's costing around £1.20 per litre instead of 89p for two litres  I'll sit down later and do a plan for the week, and make sure that Mr Fresian knows that he's going to have to pay for his own milk/biscuits for the next fortnight :D
