Moooooving back to DFW - one Fresian's continued adventures in debt-busting

Christmas shopping cost me nothing thanks to yesterdays unexpected gift voucher and I only have my best friend left to buy for
I know she wants some games for her Wii, so I'm going to get her to let me know which ones and hopefully some Amazon vouchers will take care of that!
I spent £2.50 in Morrisons today on bread (two reduced loaves and a packet of wraps, so not as bad as it sounds!) and have also had to spend £40 on train tickets. We're having a Fresian Family Weekend in Aberdeen at the start of next month to belatedly celebrate Papa Fresian's birthday so I bought the ticket for that and as Papa Fresian is in Glasgow tomorrow I'm wandering over there tomorrow night for dinner. Thankfully I had £10 credit on the redspottedhanky website, so that was a bit of a saving on those unexpected purchases!
Best run - time for Fat Club!

1lb off at Fat Club last night, taking me to 35lbs total weightloss - that's two and a half stones
:j :j :j
Today was meant to be a NSD, but as I'm off to Glasgow tonight I suspect that won't be the case - I'll need to pay a bus fare from my house to the train station anyway as I'm not driving there, it's too confusing for meI'm going to pop into Primark to pick up a couple of cheap jumpers that will be suitable for work and some thick socks as winter is upon us
Thank Crunchie it's Friday tomorrow!

Well done on the weight loss, give us an example of your daily menu so I can nosy at what you are eating. I really need some inspiration. I'm not gaining weight and give or take a pound or two, am ending the year at the same weight I started it (which is still four stone heavier than I would like)Emergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -

Breakfast
Wholemeal toast with marge (light marge at that!) - 2 slices. If I have time I'll have scrambled eggs too, more often than not I'm eating toast while straightening my hair instead :rotfl:
Lunch
Warburtons square wrap with ham and salad or tin of Fat Club soup
Dinner
Bolognaise with wholemeal pasta or homemade chilli with brown rice. If we have meat or fish e.g. chicken/steak/tuna I have extra veg instead of tatties
Snacks
I snack all day so today I have an apple, a banana, a small pack of raisins and a Curly Wurly with me to eat at work. I'll also have some kind of pudding at night - last night was meringue nests with low-fat squirty cream and fruit - so I don't feel too deprived.

Morning folks
Money
PAD/Spends- - £19.50
Entertainment - £32.21
Groceries - £16.15
Savings - £1514.09 (reduced due to train ticket purchase)
I have £32.18 of my outstanding credit card bill to pay off, but will manage this before payday as if I don't spend all the entertainment budget I'll use that to clear the outstanding balance.
I also have £40ish in my purse thanks to a very generous donation from the Bank Of Papa Fresian, so I can pop some of that into the bank tomorrow
I received my £15 paypal money into my account after taking up the Gumtree deal to pay £5 for it a couple of weeks ago, so I've bought some stamps I've been lusting after and will now be trying to *gulp* buy no more craft stash until after Christmas. We'll see how that goes!

Brilliant question !!! also very useful answer, thank you F_F, it prompted me to actually look at the portion control book I borrowed from the library last week - seems that you have a smiliar snacking, sorry I mean eating pattern as I do - reinforcing my belief that my lack of weightloss is due to portion control. oh & pure couch potato-ness.
Also - how does surveys for amazon stuff work? I beleive that Father Christmas may be bringing me a Kindle.... would surveys allow me to get books for it?I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -

If I had to eat three meals a day without snacks I'd be miserable0 -
Ooft, been avoiding my diary this weekend for some reason. Must do better
I've had a weekend that's been both busy and quiet all at the same time. Yesterday I went and picked up Souk's flat keys while she was still packing in Glasgow :rotfl: I did some Christmas shopping while I was waiting for her and now don't have that much left to do :j
Today I have mainly done housework. My living room and bathroom are pretty well spotless and the kitchen is, well, not so much as I made another monster batch of pea and ham soup today (it's cheap and I don't have much left in the groceries budget..!) I get paid on Friday and funds are tight. I'm hoping that I get paid a reasonable amount - this will be the first wage this year without overtime since I got extra tax applied by the accursed HMRC because they forgot to include my staff mortgage in their calculations. The word I use for them isn't allowed by the swear filters
