What time does your post office open? Or is it just for collections?

Hope fat club has been a success ;)

The local mail depot is open from 7am for collection of parcels. Sadly no full counter service :(

Fat Club was good - 1.5lbs off which takes me to 34 lost in total :D

Bloomin' hec Mrs that's good going! Well done you

And you've just reminded me, I need to collect a parcel. Think it will be one of the many calendars I've ordered for Chrissie presents! I've ordered that much stuff I've lost track of what I should be expecting :o

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £60
    Entertainment - £32.21
    Groceries - £46.95
    Savings - £1553.09

There are exactly two weeks until payday and the groceries account is looking quite depressed. Time for a dig about in the freezer later followed by the Joy Of Meal-Planning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Nice work on the weight loss

Do you have any tips for a good healthy, low cost breakfast?? Having had an incident with a bowl of cereal at work this week, I'm looking for new ideas!!

I normally eat toast in the morning then have fruit about half past ten. That keeps me going until lunch :D

I also love having eggs in the morning, but was nearly late for work last week because I fancied some egg on toast :o I'm very excited about your impending arrival in the Burgh - please text me if you need any help with moving things up and down stairs etc. Myself and Mr Fresian are often the only people with a car, so end up doing a lot of removals for friends :rotfl::rotfl:

It's been a lazy weekend so far in Fresian Towers. I didn't even leave the house yesterday which made it a NSD! Today I need to sort out the dishes and then head to Aldi to get our shopping for the week. The food budget is tight this month so I'm hoping for some nice cheap veg and that way I can make some yummy and filling stews. I'm aiming to spend less than £25 on food today, which should keep us going for most of the week with the exception of fresh veg/fruit midweek.

    I'll report back later :D

Overspent by £3.28 at the shops, so didn't do too badly. I'm going to have to be creative for a while as I have £18.67 left in the groceries account and 12 days until payday  I should have enough money for milk/bread/fresh veg though and the rest will be taken care of with some creative cooking ;)

I've joined the NSD Challenge for November, albeit a little late, so I'm aiming for 10 NSDs between now and the end of the month. I should be able to do that with a little creative shopping.

I currently have a ham shank soaking in water and plan to cook it in the slow cooker overnight so I have yummy ham for sandwiches all week and will make pea and ham soup with the rest. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?! Delia I am not...:o

I'm a toast-in-the-morning girl too! I love it with peanut butter and a big mug of proper black coffee...coffee's the only splurge I allow myself each month - freshly ground (grounded? grinded? Back to school for me :rotfl:) from Starbucks. The bag's still warm when they hand it back to you - mmmmm!

A trick I learned while I did WeightWatchers was toast with Nutella - really yummy and low in points! If you pop a banana on top as well it's even more filling!

I've found this month I've used up the entire contents of the freezer and the cupboard is bare - can anyone think of anything delicious that can be made out of veggie sausages and rice :rotfl: I do have a spare BBQ Sauce left over from a Mystery Shopping job I did last week if that helps!

Looks like toast and Nutella for dinner then for me.......

Ha ha, just realised there's no bread! It really is veggie sausages and rice (with BBQ sauce on the side!) tonight! Trip to the supermarket for me tomorrow I think...........
