Glad to be of service Souk! Sounds like you had a fab time :)

I had a very good post day yesterday as my LEGO Pirates game arrived and so did my new laptop :D:D:D It's very shiny and lovely! I'm having fun setting it up - I love that it has a fingerprint scanner, so when I scan my finger it launches FB, MSE and my email :rotfl::rotfl:

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £120
    Entertainment - £41
    Groceries - £158.15
    Savings - £1615.09

No real MSE news this week, although I've been living quite quietly which is having a good impact on my finances. I'm still waiting for people to pay for Ebay purchases (from sodding Sunday) and because they keep paying in dribs and drabs I'm at the Post Office every day.

Best run - need to get fed, make lunch and run to work. Working in Edinburgh this week though so it's taking me hardly any time to get to work :D

    Morning all :D

Now that I know I can pay money directly into my loan I've been making some PADs directly to it. I still can't view the balance online though so I'm writing a complaint letter about that today :rotfl: I'm going to keep £1500 in savings so it's accessible, and all other PADs will go directly into the loan itself.

I have spent £53 of my savings today in the Travelodge sale for three nights in York at the end of February. We were meant to go this year but Mr Fresian was ill, so I've booked it and paid for their room insurance so I should get my money back if the same happens again this year.

Nowt else to report apart from a three pound loss at Fat Club :j :j

Hi FF. I think we bank with the same "institution". Would you be able to give me guidance on how to set up payments to my loan please? I have never been able to do it online before so I am a bit unsure. Thanks :D
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76

You need the sort code and account number and then should be able to set it up as a Payment in online banking, not an internal transfer.

If you need more help PM me and I'll do a wee step by step guide!
  • Well done with the 3lb loss!!

I can't even view my loan online anymore since they changed the layout, I liked seeing the balance go down.
    I'll get there!

Me neither :( My complaint letter is going in the post tomorrow ;)
  • Scribble at the bottom:

PS. MrsNotAPenny isn't thrilled with your changes either, sort it out!!

(Glad it isn't just me, I thought I was being a bit dim not being able to figure it out! There was a part of me that was hopeful they had just 'deleted' my loan from the system completely!!:rotfl:I live in hope!)
    I'll get there!

    Morning folks :D

It's going to be an expensive day in Fresian Towers today - it's Vet Day for the moggies and we know it's going to set us back around £500

On the plus side, once I drop the moggies off at the vet I'm getting my haircut with a voucher so it will only have cost me £12 :D

I opened two non-paying bidders cases yesterday for the items I sold on Sunday - one woman paid within the hour  and the other is still outstanding. I'm off to the Post Office this morning to post her parcels and a card I made to order for a MSE friend. Despite the pain of having NPBs on Ebay, I'm doing it all again this weekend as it's free listing. I'm only listing on Saturday though as I'm off to the craft show at the SECC on Sunday :j I have a strict cash budget, so although I'll be spending a lot, it's all accounted for - and it's a little MSE as I paid for my ticket with Tesco vouchers :D

Last night I went out for Carvery with some friends and spent a whopping £8.79 (and probably put my lost 3lbs back on :rotfl:) and today I'm back on the good eating train. I also spent about £20 in Tesco on the way home, but a lot of that was on meat offers, so the freezer will be happy at any rate!

Current state of affairs financially is:

    PAD/Spends - £80
    Entertainment - £32.21
    Groceries - £124.43
Savings - £1562.09 (reduced by £53 to pay for holiday next year)

    Current credit card balance: £105.26
Set aside to pay it: £15.38
    Outstanding balance: £89.88

It would be nice to make this on Ebay this week, but unlikely. I think I will aim to make £40 and hopefully the rest will come from PADs. I have got my £15 Reward payments coming next week, so that's a nice little dent already. It's good to think that I will have completely paid off my laptop by next payday....just the vet bill to work on next :rotfl::rotfl:
