I've found this month I've used up the entire contents of the freezer and the cupboard is bare - can anyone think of anything delicious that can be made out of veggie sausages and rice :rotfl: I do have a spare BBQ Sauce left over from a Mystery Shopping job I did at McDonalds if that helps!
If you have an onion and some tinned tomatoes:

Chop onion and saute in a little oil (I use one-cal spray, because I'm a Fat Clubber!)
    Grill sausages in the meantime
Add tin of tomatoes to onion
Throw in herbs/spare veg (frozen peas are often my veg of choice)
Chop cooked sausages and throw in the mixture
    Simmer for about ten minutes
    Serve with rice

I currently have a ham shank soaking in water and plan to cook it in the slow cooker overnight so I have yummy ham for sandwiches all week and will make pea and ham soup with the rest. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?! Delia I am not...:o

Recipe here http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/8620/lous-pea-and-ham-soup- looks good. But when you say ham I immediately think of Lentil Soup as my Mum always made it with Ham stock.

Aiming for a NSD tomorrow so went and did all of my spending today :D I spent my £28 in the supermarket and then when I was at our local (M&S) garage they were doing the reductions so I got my normal favourite sandwich for 80p instead of £2.50 - that'll be a nice treat for tomorrow!

Off to put the ham in the slow cooker then heading to bed, hopefully I'll have a lovely pot full of stock when I get up tomorrow...

Yum! Except I have no onion and no tinned tomato - taking the NSD thing a bit too far? Definitely got a trip to the supermarket on the cards for tomorrow so I might just add an onion and some tinned tomatoes to my basket....oh, and more sausages for the freezer! Thanks for the inspiration :) See, I said you were the voice of reason!

One of my favourite easy dinners when we've got leftovers from roast chicken is the same thing but with added chicken and a tin of baked beans. Sounds manky but is delish - and even Mr Fresian can cook it!

Morning F-F, just leaping out of lurkdom to say that a couple of tins of value mushy peas will turn the stock into pea and ham soup without the hassle of soaking, boiling and the rest. It's much better if you are a beginer at it.

    Morning all :D

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £50
    Entertainment - £32.21
    Groceries - £18.67

My Sainsbury's credit card is sitting with a zero balance :A but the Tesco one is not. Bah! I have £57.18 of my own spending to clear on this then have to clear the £577 vet bill  The plan is for that to come from Mr F's meagre savings until he gets his PPI back. I have paid off all of the outstanding balance apart from the vet bill, which has left my current account in overdraft (interest free) but is a helpful visual reminder to spur me on to PAD :D If I run out of groceries money (likely) then I will use the money left in the Entertainment budget. I would prefer just to do some creative cooking though.

As I haven't really left the Edinburgh city limits this week, we still have three quarters of a tank of petrol left and haven't had to fill Fred up. I'm hoping we'll have a surplus leftover on my Sainsbury's giftcard at the end of the month which I can use to pick up some Christmas presents.

Savings are sitting at £1553.09 at the moment which is earmarked for paying off my loan early, although I'll dip into them if needed to repay the credit card. I would also like to take some of this for the post-Christmas sales, as most of my clothes don't fit at the moment and I'm in dire need of new undies due to my weightloss! I'm hoping that Auntie Souk will help me with shopping :D

I'm aiming for a NSD today, hopefully it's achievable!
