Two pounds sodding 75p on a sandwich at work because my lettuce had gone mushy at home :( How they can charge £2.75 for two slices of bread, a couple of bits of ham and some cheese is beyond me

Wow, I bought a loaf of bread, a block of cheese and some coleslaw today and it cost less than that!!! I've got so out of the habit of spending money that it always amazes me what things cost in the real world (but really, people pay £2.75 for a sandwich???!!!) Ha ha, I thought 48p for coleslaw was extravagant!

Nope :( I'm getting a cold and the thought of leaving the house was too much for me. A quick look at the freezer seems to show that we're quite well off for food anyway, so I'll just do a top-up shop this weekend rather than a mammoth one and see if another voucher comes around sometime soon ;)

    Surveys

    Swagbucks - 343 points
    Mysurvey - 180 points
    Valued opinions - £8.75 (£1.50 pending too)
    Ipsos - 355 points
    Onepoll - £14.25

I've caught up on all my outstanding surveys tonight. I was meant to be going out with a friend tonight but am still quite coldy and just didn't feel up to it. I left work early and came straight home to bed :(

I think that my nap helped though because I feel a lot better, although I want more sleep :D

Hopefully I feel well enough to have a lovely weekend anyway!
  • In case anyone doesn't read the Newspaper thread every day (and why not?!) if you buy The Mirror today there's a coupon for £5 off in Aldi when you spend £30. I'm going to Aldi this weekend anyway for my top-up shop, so am just going to buy loads of meat for the freezer now too :j

MERGH!! I missed this, but my parents buy the paper, so I've phoned daddio and he's currently rummaging through the paper recycling bin as we speak :j

Already you are doing good: thanks to you highlighting the Grabbit! board, i've been able to order 50 free prints from Tescos. Pics of the boys are always good for cards and little gifts for the fam.

The info on the forum is here if anyone else would like it. Make sure you sign up and then click the link they email you to get the free prints. I'm collecting from a local store so that I don't have to pay p & p.

    :p

  • Morning, thought you'd gone quiet :p.

I did the nectar Amzaon voucher thing and DH deleted the email. doh! Luckily I had spotted it on my phone and fished it back out of the deleted files :D. So that is my Amazon fund restarting again!

Got a Blackberry tablet at the weekend for work as it was £150 off in Currys and found it has a Kobo ereader on it :j.
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
