Hello everyone,
Happy birthday to Apprentice Tycoon! :bdaycake:
Well, the weather seems to have calmed down a bit here - it was wild last night  Kept waking up to hear the wind howling. Thankfully not too much damage done as far as I can tell.
Plans for today: usual WM and DW clean, plus think I might be making a chocolate cake, so have to have a hunt about for a recipe. Has to be a soft cake as I'm not allowed anything chewy just nowJust a shame that whatever I eat gets slightly spoiled afterwards as I have to rinse my mouth out with salty water (ick!) Then I'll be watching dancing on ice this evening - I love that program
Plus will probably get a bit more crocheting done (your covers are almost done twink - how many did you want?)
*hugs* to all, hope you have a good day :j0 -
Topher wrote:My utility cupboard is metal lined, with a rack shelf and an enamelled metal slide out work surface. Is yours one with a work surface?
T
It does have a work surface but it's the back of the cupboard door which drops down. The scales are unfortunately missing but it does still have the slide out bit where they were. It also has two neat little drawers in the middle. At the bottom I have one cupboard with a half shelf and a second cupboard with two shelves and a wire rack in the door. I also have the top box for mine which most are missing these days. I love it, it gets crammed with stuff and it's the main reason I keep rejecting DH's idea of a nice new fitted kitchen. No new unit would ever hold as much as this thing does and I paid £30 for itOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Washing is on the line and have no idea yet what I am making for tea.
Having a browse on here in hope of inspiration. May drag some thing out of the freezer and make home made potato wedges to go with it.
Will pop out later for meat and cheese for sandwiches during the week."This site is addictive!"

Good afternoon everyone, hope all is well and those who aren't feel better soon, haven't had chance to catch up with the post yet. Happy Birthday Apprentice Tycoon!
DS2 at party, have left him with a friend as DP needs to go to work and DS1 doesn't do parties, so have to look after him. Picking DS2 up at 3pm, must rememberHave baked some cakes while he's out for him to decorate when he gets home, he was moaning for those kit things I used to buy, but comprimised with the cheaper more OS version! He wants to do green ones, that will be interesting!
DP at work until about 4am so going to TRY to make myself a prawn curry with fried rice (now I know where I was going wrong) then if I make a disaster only me has to eat it!
Did try washing on line but it's too windy, blew off, puppy ran all over it so that's back in the washer and I give up, it can go on the airers!
Done a freezer list, just trying to work out what meals I can squeeze out of ittrying to delay grocery shop! There is two bags of mince from the farm shop I didn't even know were in there so that's a start!
One day I might be more organised...........

No they don't. Most of their seeds are between 1.50 and 2 quid each, and you get the cheapest one free. They do have some for 59p a pack but there's not a lot of choice in that range.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Thank you ShirleyPark think I'll get a few bits from Alan Romans then
they're only 50p each... and they've got purple carrots!!!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
Taplady - Hope you enjoy your day shopping in Hereford. Chances are I probably passed you!
Have been into town with DS, to feed the ducks and get some coffee for my Dad. They had the Nescafe (foreign version) 200g jars for £1.98 each in Savers. Also got some new PJs for Mum for £1. NO other plans except general tidying and washing.
Have a good day all...PowieA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -

DS loves his Freecycled swivel chair. He's [STRIKE]spun on it for the last hour[/STRIKE] done 4 pieces of homework
Went to the craft shop with DD and got lots of stuff for her to make cards. Anyone know where the best place to get *card toppers* for blokes' cards? Sounds like a new thread for Mr Bad Example
Off to get out my needlepoint.
