O/S Daily Thread for Saturday 20th Jan, 2007

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday 20th January, 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

:) Good Morning All - Hope we are well

very windy and raining outside

Ive not been to bed yet - my own fault for having a nap after work. :o
Plus my hairdresser was late turning up for mine and my mum's appointment. No fault of her own (her cat is ill in the Vet hospital in Derby - she's only limited to certain days/times to visit) hence her delay. Anyway, my mum had more colours put in than me, and she finally left here at 10pm. Only then, I could bath kids and myself.

So after watching Jade's eviction on BB, :T I watched Love muscle russell, did a little more craft for my mum's wedding invites, and then parked my bum on here, and been here ever since.

Rest of the day's plans are
OH & DS to get their hair cut :T
OH to put curtain pole back up in DD bedroom
WM, TD & DW all need to go on.
General clean up
Wash the dog's bedding and bath her!
Food Shopping.
And Chill out!!!

Kids are with their dad this wk end. So hopefully if he's on time, he should fetch them for 2pm. And they return sunday at 7pm.

Valentine (((hugs))) hope the funeral/service went well. As well as funerals go that is! My thoughts was with you xxx

DLB hows the DW? you'll find it a godsend now. I got mine out of the local "ad mag" when I first moved i here. Never looked back.

Hope those who have been poorly, are feeling better
Happy birthday if you are celebrating
Well done for those getting new jobs
And general hugs & love to others

Have a great weekend
Be back later
Take care & love as usual
Emma xxx

  • Morning all! Up early again, but this is the best time of the day, IMO. Everyone else is in bed, it's quiet, and I get what the children used to call *a piece of quiet*

Off to collect a swivel chair from Freecycle for DS this morning. We asked for it to go with his desk, so that he can get his homework done. :T He now tells me he'll enjoy swivelling on it so much, no homework will be completed:rotfl: :rotfl: DD's coming with me (DS has footie training) so we'll be stopping off at the craft shop on the way home.

Possibly going to the pictures or out for a meal later.

    'Morning everyone :hello: and ...

    Happy Birthday Apprentice Tycoon! :bdaycake:

    (((Penny Pincher)))

Wild and windy here again too. I was hoping that it would all go away  Today OH has to go in and do some supervising work, so I'm hitching a lift and trawling the charity shops whilst he works :D We were going to have a spot of lunch but instead we are going to take our own to save some more pennies (which could go towards my charity shop buys). OH only complains that the food is not as good as ours when he goes out anyway. ;)

This afternoon, if he isn't still working we are going to go have a look at our local museum. They have some replicas of old kitchens and living rooms and I want to have a look at what they used.

Have a lovley OS day everyone.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Morning. Had another terrible nights' sleep. Embarrassed myself by falling asleep at a friends house last night after the meal. Weather seems wet and windy still. I think we may go shopping today and then have relatives up for a meal later. It could turn out to be a good weekend.

Morning gang, hope this finds you all well and warm. DH still not 100% but hopfully on the mend. The cheese and onion pasta was spectacular(can I say he cooks VERY regularly) Its funny as you know we are waiting for the LEA to pay and as a conciquence have very little money. So he made the sauce with less flour than usual, milk, water and cream mixture, and various its and bobs of cheeses that we had lying arround. WONDERFUL. Am off to our lessons and then to buy some more emergency provisions(wont be TOO heavy!!!!!) Then got 2 mystery shops. just wanted to say hi as often I dont manage to get here at wekends. Happy brthday to Apperntice Tycoon. Hope you feel much better P-P. Have a nice wekend everybody. Hugs to all that need them. Wind a bit worse than I'd like them to be as the damm tree is still wedged and can do without any more neighbour problems(they look for any excuse)Stay safe warm and take care. Cats (the boys) are tearing arround the garden but they are just about to be fed so will be in. Take care all lots of love.
Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

    very wet and windy here.
spending another day studying. pleased with myself - had one of those lightbulb moments with something I have been trying to get my head around for weeks!!

no other plans other than feeding the washing machine every hour or so until the mountain of dirty clothes is gone. will have to tumble dry the lighter stuff, the rest will dry on the radiators.

food wise - saturday is not OS :( chinese carry out tonight and bottle of wine ;) I feel if we eat cheap and healthy all week we have earned our saturday night!
