Thrift Monster - what a fab thing to do, paying off your mortgage.
Lynz - really feel for you with all that cleaning to do. I remember our kitchen units were so dirty I insisted on painting the insides after cleaning them before I'd put any food in them! Yuck. Good luck hun.
Had to chuckle at your post pen pen - hope you have a nice time when you go out.
Chardonay - sounds a lovely evening/night. So nice to be with someone like that.
Right, I'd best get on. I'm still in my jim jams. Tried not to log on this morning, but couldn't get myself together until I did, lol. Of course now I have, I can't get off.....
Going to quickly check my ebay items and then shower. No internet for me then until I've drawn up my 'to-do' list for today.
Hope you all have a good one,

Morning All
Happy Birthday Apprentice Tycoon
Plans for today is get everything done that I didnt yesterday then go into town and do a spot of clothes shopping on my own, not sure if it will work out like that. I also need to do abit of food shopping as well and if you shop in Asda you get 2 hours free parking.
Also need to find a suitable dress for a cocktail party, my best friend is having for her 30th in Febuary. I on the large side (size 20) so I'm hoping ebay will come up trumps, I'm not likely to wear it again as a posh do like this is deffinately a one off. I think that all her uni friends etc will be coming and then theres little old me who she known since she was 10, I dont want to show her up. DD will be staying at her Grandmas which is something we dont normally do as I think she does quiet enough childcare for us in the week. All in all it could be a stressful evening
I've gone on long enough, Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all
Late start for me. DH let me laze about in bed while he sorted kids. Aww. I'm sure he's still after something. Being far too helpful!
DD has a sore throat. She's sucked her thumb all night for comfort andnow it's all wrinkled and sore.
DS has a party this afternoon. It's supposed to be a 70s theme - but he's determined to wear his spiderman costume. Oh well - I used to watch spidey in the 70s so it sort of fits. What would a 4 year old know about the 70s anyway.
Happy birthday apprentice tycoon.
take care - I'm sure I'll be back during the day."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Good morning everyone,
Thanks again so much for all your love and good wishes - it really means a lot to me.
The funeral went as well as could be expected - I do really struggle with the whole seeing the coffin thing and thinking too much about what's inside but I tried very hard to think about the good memories and use mind over matter techniques. My reading went really well and a lot of my Granny's friends and relations thought that it was lovely so that was nice. One of the unexpected pleasant things was having a relaxed afternoon, chilling out with relatives and catching up.
I need to go and pick up some pigsback vouchers which need signed for at the local sorting office but having looked outside at the weather, I think I'll leave it until another day. Today is going to be used fot getting my a*s in gear and cleaning up this midden of a house. You know when you would be embarassed if someone (a friend/neighbour) turned up at the door and you had to invite them in - that's the state my house is in and I hate it. I'm going to do as much as I feel able to.
OH and I are going out tonight to a friend's leaving party - she is going to do VSO in Africa for the next year or so.
This pregnancy lark isn't getting any easier unfortunatley, I still feel like I've been run over by a bus and I'm still very nauseous and retching/being sick every so often. No bump yet either, just fatter - boo hoo.
P-P!! - I really hope you start to feel better soon and that this next week is a little easier for you with less horrible hospital visits.
hypno - Has any of your family twigged about you being the new cleaner? Keep us updated!
Off to make some freshly squeezed OJ and boiled eggs and soldiers for brekkie.
Love to you all. Have a lovely Saturday.

I'm delegating a bit today. DS is going out in the garden and clearing it up for me and DD is tidying her room with the aid of some new storage boxes. I'm determined to keep this house clean and tidy this weekend as the planning guy is coming tomorrow to say yes or no to next door building a new house in their back gardenOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
