    Morning!

    Happy Birthday Apprentice Tycoon!

catowen thanks for the tip-off about Debenhams undies :D I will pop into the Oxford Street branch tomorrow after church and have a nose around.

Valentine x - glad it was a nice funeral ((hugs))

Well I'm still slobbing in my PJs in front of Saturday Kitchen :o but I need to go out shopping - I seem to be short of practically everything ATM! Am going to go into Lewisham which is where my nearest TK Maxx is, as I love their homewares department and need some odds and ends, plus Lewisham Market is widely known for good prices on fruit and veg. I ought to go to Morrison's in Peckham also, to collect my dry cleaning, but I suspect this might end up being a separate trip (even though the bus goes past Morrison's on the way back from Lewisham, I think I'll be quite heavily laden by that point!)

Dad is coming over later to finish off the doors on my new wardrobe, one of the doors isn't quite straight and none of my adjustments have done much good.

No idea what's for dinner - depends what I pick up at the market :D

Oh well, Saturday Kitchen is finishing - must be off to get @rse in gear!

    Love Rzl xx

    43e6cydto you Apprentice Tycoon. :D

Good morning everyone, My wonderful OH let me have a lie in this morning and we have basically just pottered about since.

I've tidied up and the kids have been painting and they will be having beans on toast for dinner and OH is going to make a fish pie for tea as I will be at work.

It's so sunny at the moment allthough blowing (when will this wind ever stop?) and I just love seeing it blaze in through the windows. :D

I finally got that fish tank done last night,   one of my most hated jobs as it's a big one and it had to be completely cleaned out, needless to say the fish food is well out of reach now.;)

Oh well, onwards and upwards, I need to iron my uniform and get dinner on the go. <<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>> to anyone who needs them and I hope you all have a good one (what's left of it anyway!).

    Smoky. xxxx

    Morning Again

    Hope we are well

Didn't go to bed till shortly after 5am, was up again at 8.30. Dont feel tired just yet, but will probably hit me this afternoon.

2 loads of washing done, TD working over time. DW emptied and re-loaded again. Kids clothes ironed ready for their wk end with their dad.
Kitchen sides have been cleared and stardrop's.

OH & DS had theit hair cuts.

Just transferred some money from my savings account to my current account via telephone banking. Ready for OH to use to put towards his car he's picking up tomorrow. During the transfer, the bloke said it was an immediate transfer, funds are available. I asked can the money be withdrawn today, he replied NO, as Saturdayis classed as a non-wprking day, and that I was unable to withdraw the money till monday. I asked to cancel the transaction, but it was too late. OH went loopy  totally took it out me for someone's in-correct info. I rang bang and explained what had happened. And was told I was mis-informed and that 100% I can withdraw the funds. The 2nd chap has put in a complaint on my behalf. Bit late now, as its caused tension now in the house!!!!

I'll get over it - Im sure!
Right for a shower now, and tackle shopping
    Take care
    Be back later
    Love as usual

  • Happy Birthday Apprentice Tycoon Hope you have a lovely day.

Well, my day isn't going as planned at all. XDH phoned to say that a crowd of yobs had kicked over six garden panels last night and has asked for DS to help him to a temporary repair until his new fence is delivered on Friday. DD wanted to help too so I am now at home on my own.

So, washing is up to date, living room is tidy, school uniforms are ironed, shredding is done, dishes have been washed, dried and put away and I have finally put the stuff back in the shed that has been sitting in the kitchen since New Year. I have cycled for 10 mins on the exercise bike - I have to break the recommended 30 mins down over two or three sessions a day as my bottom complains mightily after 10 mins. :rotfl: I'm now about to write some letters so that the admin is up to date too.

taplady had to laugh that you are disappointed at only walking 75000 steps yesterday. :D Hope you manage the 10000 today.

Off to close my Nationwide account and arrange for the balance to be sent to me. Now, what could I do with £1.79???

well thats the birds fed, been to the library and washed the car, my hands were frozen, must have been windier than i thought last night as i discovered two panes of glass had slipped down in the greenhouse and one had got stuck, first time this has happened since dh passed away, tried twice to sort it, no luck, but managed third go, felt pleased with myself, always dreaded that happening, at least it was on the side not the roof
might make pancakes now to heat myself up

    hugs to valentine xx

    Hi everyone

I am back (again). The broken computer saga has been resolved by PC World replacing the broken one with a brand new one. This was only after I called them yesterday just for an update as the computer had been away (for the second time) for two weeks and got a really cheeky and rude person on the other end of the phone (who eventually hung up on me). At this point my blood was boiling so phoned back and asked to speak with a manager. He arranged to call me back and explained as the computer had been "out of operation" for more than 28 days I was entitled to a new one :j :j :j

Off work at the moment with an ear infection but not really doing much else as just feel tired and lethargic.

Plans for today are just a quick tidy round and a dust and then catch up with what I have been missing in internet-land for the last few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great day whatever your plans are.

    .

Hope your feeling better soon, I no what its like to suffer an ear infection, mine's been on-going since Sept. Ive had 1 phone consulation, 2 visits to the surgery, and each time been given different anit-biotics & ear drops. Had a visit to see the nurse last week, to be told Im congested! And got to inhale menthol crystals and take sudafed! Got to try this for 21 days - which I will, but to be honest, there is no difference. :(
Hope your doesn't last as long as mine!

    Morning all,
Really must get my bum in gear - all these little projects I've been meaning to do for 6 months now have to be done in 10 days

BTDT Glad I'm not the only one. Start off with good intentions then panic at the last minute.
  • Morning (or is it nearly afternoon)

Having quite a lazy morning this morning, have had a bit of a lie in and a nice long shower... very impreseed with my new 'Just Shampoo' and 'Just Conditioner from superdrug!! They were 10p each and have left my hair feeling nicer than my usual £1.28 per bottle brands :j feeling most pleased!

Have just been out to pick up some plant pots from a fellow freecycler, and have just been looking through the Alan Romans website planning what delights I'd like to try growing  was just wondering... those peeps who have gotten seeds in the BOGOF offer at wilkos, do they work out less than 50p a packet??

Just going to finish off my brew then think I might go and clean the can a do a few housey jobs. Need to do some packing but think that can wait until a bit later in the day!!

    have a good day everyone

    take care

    Aww thanks Crazychik.

Since starting on the eardrops I got I have noticed a difference. Infection started in one ear and then the other got it too and so far one has cleared so it is working.

There is a woman I work with and she too has had and on-going infection since Sept. And there have been another two people at work in the last few weeks suffering too. Seems to be doing the rounds.
