Make sense?
Yea, not what I wanted to hear though

I could also confirm that Coop customer service is excellent and efficient. I had a privilege account with them and I recently terminated after one year of use as I just did not want to pay monthly fee of £9.99 (?).

Not from my experience so far it isn't! (I do my main banking with First Direct so maybe I'm spoilt)
I've got the account open and am in the process of using the switching service to move 2 direct debits and about 4 standing orders from a Santander current account to qualify for the £200.
I've had a letter from Co-op saying "Unfortunately I am unable to process your account transfer since Santander UK PLC have advised us that there are no standing orders or direct debits to transfer".
I called Co-op and after going through their keypad operated queuing system got to speak to an advisor who told me to speak to Santander. Spoke to Santander who said the DDs and SOs were definitely active on the account and that they wouldn't have refused to supply the details to Co-op.
Called Co-op back again and went through the queueing system again to speak to another advisor who said I'd need to speak to the account transfer team and put me through....to a voicemail saying they were now closed and cut me off."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
OH completion transfer date is 15 November. Only had two "dummy" standing orders to transfer over from a N'wide account that's kept open for "switching" cashback offers. The two standing orders that have been transferred over to co-op are still appearing in the N'wide account. Does anyone know whether it would jeopardise the £200 cashback if the standing orders with N'wide are cancelled (as they're both now appearing on co-op accout)?0

Leave them there, co-op should cancel them for you.0

has anyone been given their official transfer date completion? i can already see my d/ds and s/os transfered, and the email/text states to deposit the £800 after this transfer/offical switch completion date?
My completion date is 14th. Received my card reader a couple of days ago.
I previously had a call from the switching team at Lloyds a couple of weeks ago offering me £100 shopping vouchers not to switch. They also asked if I wanted to close the Vantage account and transfer the £5k balance. I said no to both as I intended to fire the account back up once the switch had taken place. It'll just be a case of settting up two new s/o's (they were only inter-account feeders) to replace the ones now moved to the Coop.If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -
And now it's my energy provider (EDF) who send me a letter saying they cancelled my direct debit (and the DD payment bonus). GRRRR.
Nothing that can be fixed with a phone call, but annoying!0 -

Co-Op informed me the reason it failed is because my account isn't live yet, and goes live on the 17th. They told me they told all direct debit companies this when they gave them my new details, so three are at fault for taking it from my new bank when they should have taken it from my old bank.
This morning, my fifth direct debit (O2 mobile contract) failed! My completion date is 15th November. I called the Co-op saying I am a quite angry customer. They insisted they have done everything right and all the DD are set up. When I asked about telling the companies about the completion date, they said "we don't do that, we cannot tell other companies who to ask the direct debit from or to change a DD date". So a contradiction with what you have been told...
I mentioned the £15 "Service level guarantee" but she insisted they are not at fault. After that, I called O2 who admit they had not enough time to set-up the new direct debit (although I received an email from them 3 days earlier saying "it's all set-up" and they cancel the direct debit themselves! So, I guess, this might have happen with any direct debit and any bank? Oh well, not expecting any other DD for 5 days now, so, I guess that's the end of the annoyances. Still worth the £200!0 -
Does anyone know if it matters if you transfer the £800 straight back out after it's been transferred in? I was going to leave it in overnight, but would be more convenient if I didn't (I'm leaving the float of £100 that I put in it when I opened it).0

An attempt to withdraw 300.00 ( to test daily limit which is 250.00 ) from Cashpoint Machine triggered Co-op Fraud management team into action - They needed to speak to me to ascertain that it was me who made the attempt.
