Good Grief it's windy out there, I've had to rescue the wheelie bin twice already. I've tried to put in a sheltered part of the yardy bit of my garden but the blimmin' wind is everywhere

My bank account has started moving again with a couple of DirectDebits going out (Missus Nora, I don't count any bank payments in my NSD's) so I have PADed a little £2.20 over to my F/mans debt :) to keep the account looking nice and tidy. Only 10 days until payday and I will pay that one off completely :T The dribs and drabs I am paying now will just make that payment come down a little so there's no gain really but I am trying to stay in the habit of PADing so when I start to tackle my Carp 1 card it will be second nature to PAD everyday.

I went to place an order with Approved Foods but have you seen the delivery costs  Admittedly I didn't want much because I wanted to break the DD's in gently but the delivery was more than my order so it really wasn't a saving. I just made a swift exit.

I have one sale on ebay :) not for very much but it all goes in the paypal pot for future pressie buying. I must list some more but I keep forgetting to do it in the evening and I don't think things sell as well if they are finishing at 7 in the morning :o I must get more organised.

Also started looking for car insurance quotes  It's not due for renewal for another couple of months yet but I was being nosey to see if I could save any money. The answer, apparently, is NO. Surely insurance should come down a little bit as you build your no claims again, not sky rocket through the roof
I shall worry about that later, I think :o

Will be in the house all day today and have many plans, which will not get done if I sit here much longer.

Why is this site so addictive?????

Good morning and a happy New Year!

Still got the decs and tree up here... I'm all for having Christmas as long as possible after the 25th but then I don't start it as early as some. :)

I've bought a few AF orders in the past and only stopped because I'm still using everything up! As far as I can see the main dangers are overbuying and buying stuff that I sternly classify as 'empty calories not real food'. They can be excellent for some things: a while ago they had catering sized jars of Loyd Grossman sauces which were a huge bargain. They keep well till opened then I just divided the excess up and froze it. Also very good for flavoured cous cous and big bags of bread mix - though don't do what I did and have your bread maker break down with several months' supply of bread mix still to go!

A similar firn is BigBrandsforLess which I actually think is now better despite not having as many lines. AF foods used to be cheaper than it is now... or was... I haven't looked for a while (couldn't see over the pies of bread mix).

Good Morning, I hope you all feel better than I do this morning :(
I seem to have been hit by some sort of stomach bug and have not had the most pleasant of nights :o
Typical when I should be back at work this morning but to be a little bit crude, I really can't venture far from the safety of my own bathroom at the moment IYSWIM :o And I am feeling like a wrung out dish rag :( I'm hoping its just a 24 hour thing and I can get back tomorrow.

On the positive side of life, my bank account is looking healthy, I have paid all my bills for the month and even PADed a tiny 86p to F/mans this morning, my payment from my ebay sale went through and I have listed some more which have watchers, so I am still MSEing the way I want to :)

I won't be doing very much today as I just haven't got the energy and am off to make the dreaded phone call to work (I can feel their disapproval oozing down the line), have a shower then pull on some joggers (quick to pull down in an emergency situation) and collapse back onto the sofa.

    Have a great day x x

Oh, you poor, poor thing! Lots of it going around by all accounts though. You know the drill - plenty of fluids, lots of rest and bleach every surface in sight.

*senses Freeby gaining a decent lead in the race to target*........of course, you know you can get liquids and bleach delivered to the door, don't you??...........:D...............................

    Take care honey.

Definitely back to work today :) which I am quite pleased about. I need to shake off this feeling of inertia that is starting to creep over me. Seems the less I do then the less I want to do. I need to get out of this house and meet some real live people :o I went to lock up last night and realised I hadn't unlocked in the morning :o

No extra payments today, I lovely round figure went into my bank account :) today and nothing has come out :) so it's still all nice and tidy.

Spendy day today though *feels Missus Knitty's smile of encouragement*
Mr A is delivering tonight, must get some diesel for the old Beauty and I have an ebay parcel to post. Will do some other bits and pieces today too so that I can have lots of NSDs over the weekend *feels Missus Knitty's frown*

Hope everyone has a great day doing whatever it is you're doing :)
