Yep - used to do it all the time. I think it tastes a little different, but no-one else in the household ever agreed...why not try it with a pint as an experiement?freebyfifty wrote: »I have a question........Can you freeze milk?
Remember to defrost it in the fridge.0 -
Remember to pour a small amount out because of it expanding when frozen. Just don't ask me how I know.

Thank you all for your help :lovethoug
I decided to do an online Mr A shop but I've only done it for two weeks instead of a month
It will be delivered on Thursday 6th Jan and it has to last me until the 21st
Have no fear - you will be hearing exactly how I get on
I had a little bonus as when I went to checkout they gave me free delivery :T So I saved 300 pennies
I should have gone for a more expensive delivery slot but the one I booked was the one I wanted really, so it's all good
Not much else to report really. As I hate New Year with a passion, I am not going anywhere or doing anything so all my pennies should stay prisoners :T
Anyway, whatever you are doing (or not doing) stay safe and I wish you all a happy, healthy and wealthy 2012 x x x x x

Happy New Year  Here's to a debt busting 2012.
I wonder where I'll be this time next year money wise. I really hope I am in a much better position than I am right now
but at least I can say that today I am in a much better position than I was this time last year
So it's all good at the moment but WILL get better :j
My first footer was my dog
but as she's got dark hair and is very handsome I shall overlook the tall part, and take that as a good sign for the rest of the year. I am off to visit friends and relatives today which will involve much walking as there will be a little bit of alcohol partaken
They usually come to me as I have the youngest kids but as the rugrats are grown I decided I'd go to them this year. There was an underlying motive for this - it means I didn't have to fork out for alcohol (although true first footers should bring their own) or food (although true first footers should bring some black bun or other yukky stuff) and be the hostess with the mostess.
Now I can go armed with my bottle of wine/cider/fizzy stuff and left over Christmas cake and mooch of them for a change
It also means I can switch off the heating and the lights and be able to see and be warm in someone elses house
I swear I'm getting more miserly as the days go on.
Speaking of scrooge......I took all the decorations down yesterday apart from the tree which will come down tomorrow - the kids just looked at me in horror when I announced that Christmas was finished and now we can all get back to normal
The little one contemplated ringing childline for cruelty until I informed her I'd want the money for the phone call (yes, I know it's free - but she doesn't
)
When do the banks open again? Is it Tuesday or Wednesday? Tuesday is a bank holiday in Scotland and I don't think England gets it so I am a wondering when things will start moving again. My withdrawals are kicking in  I can't do any more on my spreadsheet, taking it up to the end of 2014 might be going a little too far
Suppose I'd better do some housework, why do we never actually get a real, proper, do nothing day off??????
Maybe I should try it and see what happens............Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

Oooo, and to you! True to MSE-form, I'm not crossing your threshold on the basis that the only thing I can afford to give you is my lurgy germs...:D
Why the sad face at all? You're doing brilliantly - you're in control, you've grasped the naughty pennies by the bronze bits, and it's all going in the right direction at a fair old trot...brilliant *bows in the presence of greatness*I wonder where I'll be this time next year money wise. :rotfl:Bloomin' brilliant - bless her! Ours came down yesterday as well...nice to start the new year all fresh I think. And you aren't truly miserly until you start charging them all - dog including - for room and board.....I swear I'm getting more miserly as the days go on.

*senses Freeby nipping off to get the rent book*
I think we're incapable of actually having one. We automatically fill it with things which, often, could wait a day or two....feel free to experiment and let us know though!Suppose I'd better do some housework, why do we never actually get a real, proper, do nothing day off??????
Maybe I should try it and see what happens............
By the way, how's the essay coming along?

As my favourite aunt once said to me, 'accept everything but blows dear'
The sad face is because I still have mucho mucho debt but I thank you most sincerely (true munchkin style) for your motivationKnitting_Nora wrote: »Why the sad face at all? After a day of self indulgence yesterday involving much socialising and consuming of alcohol, today will be a 'get things done day'
It was a nice 1st of January and probably one of the handful of days I actually drink alcohol in the year so I did enjoy myself and even got slightly squiffy for an hour or two.
But back to being a sober freeby and getting things done.
Today is Monday, right?????? I've got a bit lost with all the days off I've had
I'm not back to work until Wednesday, so I have two lovely days to get things straight and all caught up.
The last of the decs will come down today, I can't put them away in the loft though because I'm getting my (free) loft insulation in a couple of weeks and have to have the loft all cleared out for them, so there's no point in heaving them all up there, just to heave them all down again. I shall stuff them in the garage with all the other stuff I don't know what to do with
The car doesn't fit in it anyway, well it does but only if you plan to sleep in the car coz you can't actually get the doors open once its in  and I don't have a sunroof
The washing machine is on, but making a funny noise  It can make as many funny noises as it likes though, as long as its washing my clothes I'm not gonna listen to its moaning and groaning. and the hoover is sitting in the middle of the hallway so that everytime I fall over it I am reminded to use it and then put it away
What else.....
My shiny (sp?) new bathroom is not looking very shiney (sp?) so that needs scrubbed after the DD's have had their shower etc, but at the rate they're going this morning that could be about 3 o clock this afternoon
I'm not complaining, while they are having a long lie in I am having peace and quiet
What else.....
Oh yes.......stop boring you lot with all my carp ramblings.
Have a great day xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Just discovered 'Approved Foods'!!!!!
Reaction in the freeby household........
Me......'OMG this is fantastic'
DD's .........'I'm not eating out of date food'
Me..........'It's not out of date in real life - just on the label'
Disbelieving looks from both DD's and DD2 heads to her moneybox to see if she can afford the price of a phone call to childline!!!!
Has anyone tried Approved Foods????? Opinions please x x xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
I heard about it the other day on someone else's diary, you can always suck DD's in with the promise of buying only super-cheap household goods that don't actually HAVE an out of date...date.... and then secretly fill your freezer with perishable goods
I inherited my mother's iron stomach I think, I'll eat anything as long as it smells ok
Savings target: £25000/£25000
