  • Glad you had a nice Christmas freeby, looking forward to the next year of debt-busting :D

I have to say I don't complain too much either when my parents treat me, one of my motivations for getting debt free is so that eventually I'll be able to treat them for once!!

What a difference from last year :)

I logged into my bank account this morning now that they are open again and there is no change :j from before Christmas. This time last year I don't think I logged into my account until January and then when I did, I looked through squinty eyes to see if it would look any better (it didn't).

    I did it! :j

I got through Christmas without becoming massively overdrawn and in more debt :T In fact, I have quite a healthy looking bank account and my debts have reduced.

Now to keeping it that way.

Back to work today. I am a little bit pleased to be getting out of the house and doing something constructive. It will be nice and quiet so I plan to catch up on all the stuff you put to one side and think 'I'll do that another day' :o

I also need to think about losing a few pounds in weight (well, more than a few, try about 14 ) Put my work jeans on this morning (don't work with the public) and I am now walking round the house like a robot with legs and a middle that won't bend. I am hoping that it is the 'jeans just washed' syndrome but I suspect my fat @r$e ( ! ) has just got fatter ( ! ) :o I gave up my gym membership at the beginning of my DFW and I really miss it :( I loved the treadmill and the cross trainer.
I know I could go out into the fresh air and run/jog/shuffle but car drivers don't really need the sight of my rear end wobbling its way along the side of the road, they've enough obstacles to be negotiating as it is.
Now that I am talking about losing weight I have suddenly become hungry
I think I will wobble my way to the museli that's been pushed to the back of the cupboard by the chocolate stores ........... or it could be the hamster's food............who can tell??????

:T:T:TYay!!:T:T:T Yes you did - that achievement is all you...*claps hands excitedly* oooo, I love it when people do good stuff....makes me smile all day...

*ahem* you'll notice that your achievement suddenly became about me towards the end there...sorry about that! ;)

    Excuses, excuses!

I started out jogging around St James' Park in London (where Buckingham Palace is) - first time I went out, a mounted police officer stopped and asked whether I was ok! Did ask for a lift back to the office, but he wasn't playing ball...meanie!

I've also been mown down by the 'Changing of the guard' chaps (lesson: don't have your music up so loud that you can't hear the large band coming up behind you...you will end up diving into a bush to get out of their way! :o).

  • I hate exercising in public! Can't afford a gym membership either... but fortunately DB has a nice set of dumbells so I'm doing weights at home - it's an amazing workout, no point being skinny and weak, I want to be STRONG! Plus no-one has to see my sweaty work-out look which is a bonus for me haha :)

Ha ha ha :rotfl:That cheered me up. But I thought I was in Green Park when I went to London and walked through a leafy green place to Buck House. Ohhhhh well, shows you how much I know. :o

The banks are open and on the move again :j Thank heavens for that, my withdrawals were getting very bad, I had to obsess lots over my spreadsheet and it was getting a bit fed up of me changing things backwards and forwards. Still, my forecasts are now done until January 2013  so I am now fully aware of how skint I'm gonna be this coming year. :( My own stupid fault.

PADed a little bit over to F/mans this morning :). Checked my phone bill on-line which has come in under budget :) and checked my ebay sales and have a bid on one item :) I am secretly glad it's only one as I have sickened myself with trudging to the post office and I've probably sent the poor lady who works there off sick ;)

So not much happening, I'm off to obsess over my shopping for Saturday.......which will involve writing a list :j:j:j
    Ohhhhhhhh I do love a list :)

Nope - you probably were in Green Park. The two parks are side by side, and are basically Her Maj's front lawn (hope you didn't make a mess?!).

Hello, I'm a bit late doing my diary entry today. I was too busy blethering on other threads this morning and updating spreadsheets, checking bank etc so run out of time before work :o Now that I am at work, I have loads of spare time ;) so here I am :)

Money went into my bank account this morning :) and some went out :( and it was starting to look decidely untidy again so I did a little housekeeping and PADed a lovely £26.79 to F/mans :). It's now down to double figures rather than triple, so I'm quite happy with that. That's probably the last payment before they add interest before the next statement and I reckon by PADing little extras across I have saved myself one pound in interest. I know it's only a pound but that's 100 pennies that are mine and I don't have to pay back :)

I'll probably go and get my weekly shop after work this afternoon. I have my list and I have my budget but I'll need my blinkers on to avoid being tempted by all the offers that are on things that I really don't need ...... wish me luck. No doubt I'll be back to let you know how I get on.

Now I really must do some work............................anyone for another cup of tea:)
