  • Ohh and according to Martin :money: I am 48% miser!!!!!!!!

    I must try harder :rotfl:

I was only 17% miser!! But I have to say, there are very few things on his list that I would consider doing.... is that bad?? I wouldn't cheat my friends out of money by putting in less than I actually owe for a split bill!
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

Me neither, I wouldn't go through a skip or bins outside the supermarket either.
I would and often do, use a teabag twice and have been known to put Mr T's choco hoops into a weetos box to fool the kids :o

Last day of work today until the festivities are over :T I have to go in between Christmas and New Year but, to be honest, I like working inbetween. It's lovely and quiet and I can get loads done whereas at home I'd be battling with two bickering children, doing housework and shutting my ears to the music blasting through the rafters - teenagers

Had a bit of a panic attack this morning when I went to make my coffee and the milk had turned to cottage cheese overnight!!!! Had a bit feel of the fridge and it felt warm  Not a happy bunny. I noticed that some kind soul had pushed it right back into the wall under the counter so I pulled it out to let the air circulate, turned it up as high as it would go and................ nothing happened _pale_
Wandered off with my (black coffee) and searched the internet for a new fridge, found one that one do the job and almost paid for it  but had another wander into kitchen (for another black coffee to give me strength to pay) and lo and behold the fridge was singing away to itself :T Turned it back down and right now (fingers crossed) it's still singing!!!!!
I think one of my little darlings had pushed it back and it had over heated and cut itself off. Anyway, it's working now and there was nothing in it apart from the milk/cottage cheese, some butter and a couple of chocolate mousses. I am doing my big Christmas shop tomorrow, thank goodness I hadn't done it before now.
I was going for a NSD today and I still am, we won't need milk before tomorrow. I quite like black coffee and the kids can have toast for their brekkie

I hope to be £50 better off by the end of today. I have had a bike, still in it's box, never even been opened in the garage for about 3 years :o Started asking around at work if anyone wanted it and managed to find a buyer :T So I'm delivering and getting paid for it today :T So an extra £50 straight into the bank and heading off towards my debts in the new year :)

PADed a little £3.14 over to F/Mans this morning to keep my bank account looking nice and tidy and have decided to pay the balance on or before 13th January a whole two weeks before I had forecast :T Will keep PADing and then what's left will be paid when I get my next pay (13th Jan). Then I can start on the dreaded carp 1 card
Already had a play about with my spreadsheet to see how that one's gonna go :o

Free by fifty - pah! Free by 49 and three quarters is my new goal :)

Oooo, I'm 26% tight - who'd've thought it! On the other hand, who on earth would haggle in a charity shop, cheat their friends or bin dive for supermarket receipts??

    Let the battle begin....

I am heading off to Mr T shortly to get the shopping for the week and I am not looking forward to it one little bit  I am putting my elbow and knee pads on and contemplating the crash helmet but I really don't want to get locked up 2 days before Christmas for looking like I'm about to perform a smash and grab so I might just leave that one :)

I am also worried about my mental health and well being. How am I going to cope whilst the bank is shut over the next four days and there is nothing moving in my account  It's a big enough struggle over a normal weekend never mind adding two extra days. How dare these people have a holiday :)

I have PADed another £1.74 to F/mans this morning just to top up my addiction levels but that'll be it until Wednesday :( On the positive side - by Wednesday there will only be 16 days to payday :) I'm not wishing my life away - honest :o

Will be back later to report on my Tesco scrum ...... unless I'm in casualty or HMP Barlinnie :rotfl:
