Goodness, people are doing SO well and saving such big
amounts! Well done everyone! :j
But it's making me wonder if there is a different challenge me and my meagre savings would be better joining
Starting to think I need a "Save £12 in 2012 Challenge" :rotfl:0 -
May be it could be called Save X in 2012, just put down whatever figure you feel comfortable with.
Everyones circumstances are going to be different0 -

Everyone is different as MSL says. I started off aiming for £10,000 and have so far only got £121.41! So ur doing better then me love! thinking of lower my target so something more realistic. As just seems so high at the min.
I think Jan is a bad month for most people

Ditto! Even though I can't save £12000 I love reading everyday to see how everyone is getting on. It is exciting to see my money building up somewhere for once!!0 -
My savings are low too in Jan compared with others and will not increase this month much either due to a delay in my expenses being paid and unpaid sick leave making it a tight but just manageable month:( Added money to my sealed pots every day but that's about it until my savings DD goes through on the 1st.
Haven't had a £2 coin to add to my pot in ages, down side of trying not to spend any cash I suppose;)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Morning all,
Sorry I'm late to the party, can I please join?
Now I've paid the majority of my debt off I'm looking to actually start saving for a deposit
Can you put my target as £7000? (for now)
Hoping to maybe increase this as the year goes on.
Thanks

Yay! Well done on your promotion. I think fortunate things like that are always a quick start to saving even more, rather than being tempted on splashing out with the extra income! Congrats
Thank you
Thats my thinking. I figured i'd set myself 7k target on my old salary, so although my increase isn't ground breaking, I should add to my target. Although I think I shall use it to offset some of the unforeseen and unfortunate expenses such as the car.
Well done everyone so far, keep up the good work0 -
Wow everyone is doing brill. I actually cannot wait to payday
Ive done so much overtime recently in order to hammer the savings. We are just starting out and im really hoping to be able to put away £1k this month. £300 in the ISA so far and should be able to add £700 on Fri. Got car tax and the hubbies birthday coming off this wage or else that would have been another £400 id have been able to put in boohoo
Keep up the good work folksMortgage deposit target April £9000
