Hello,
Long time lurker!, Hi all!
I became debt free last year by reading this site.
Now I'm hoping to start med school as a grad in sept. Could you put me down for 6k? if thats ok!0 -
Nothing saved up today but my housewifely duties are saving us money...
- breadmaking in the remoska (saves a small fortune)

After deciding to join up, the next day I finish my tax Self-Assessment and discover I need to pay £685... Bad start! I may discount it as that's tax for 2010-2011 which could have come out of the bank earlier. Trying to avoid having to start practically negative! :O
Well done to everyone else. I need to try and figure out how to lower my monthly outgoings!Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -
Added another £4.88 as part of the VSP challenge.:j0

QUOTE=Kittenkirst We've just finished listing 45 items on (free listing today) so hoping a few of them sell; if they don't sell we will relist on the next free listing day. If still not sold they will go to the charity shop across the road (Ikea bag taken across yesterday and a further two & footspa to go on Saturday!).
Dear Kittenkirst
Once you have listed an item and it does not sell you can automatically relist it for free (so you don't have to wait for the next free listing day).
The free listing weekend with ebay seems to be every other week, so I list items free for a week the first weekend, relsit them (a second time for free) on the weekend inbetween, then if they don't sell again I list them for free when it's ebays free weekend again.
Hope this makes sense?Currently debt free (for 4 years) - ISA Savings now £4,050.56Save 12k in 2012 Challenge - £3215.17 / 3000k (Member 159)

I don't think this is right. I've just tried to relist some unsold items from the last free listing wend at the start of Jan and ebay want to charge me for listing them. I think this only applies to items with £0.99 starting price.0 -
Ok, feeling totally demoralised today, back from our lovely weekend away with the horrible cold, the house feels more freezing than ever after staying at a warm hotel and gutted I've missed the free listing weekend on ebay!!!
Really must pick myself up, will be watching Super Scrimpers on C4 tonight for some inspiration!
Desperate Housewife, I've been meaning to ask you for ages, do you have a recipe for a very thin crust bread for BM please? I use my BM a lot, however, the bread always comes out with quite a thick crust and gets very hard the following day  thank you0 -
Dear alionaear
This is what I was doing on ebay every fortnight on the run up to Christmas, from October. It may depend on what category you are listing in, certain categories have charges, it can be confusing.
You can only relist unsold items for free once, unless it is a free listing weekend.
You are right about the 99p listing. This is for your first 100 items listed every month for 99p or less. These are free to list too.Currently debt free (for 4 years) - ISA Savings now £4,050.56Save 12k in 2012 Challenge - £3215.17 / 3000k (Member 159)

Hi there.
Can I join this challenge. I have some debts to pay off first but I am still saving a regular amount, and once my debts are paid off I can crank up what I am saving.
I wont make £12000, but I am aiming for £4000.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0
