  • Weekly update
Had some interest added on one of my online savings accounts. Only £10.25 but it all helps. Don't know if I can keep at this pace all year, but I'm going to give it a good shot.
  • More haste less speed. If I don't update my total savings it will look as though I'm not getting anywhere!!!

£833.33 a month for 10 years? Not including interest....lets do it :D I would say start December this year.....upto you, your idea. I am well and truely in though. In 10 years i will be 30-31 and this could serve me as emergancy savings right through my career after that. I would hope to manage it in 8 years though.
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Transferred another £100 to my ISA as my funds are looking pretty healthy, so that's £500 so far this month, which is my monthly target :T

ISA has 3700 in it now, quite a fair chunk to add before April!

    Everybody is doing so well!

  • I'm having an absolute horrendous time with saving. Last 3 months I have saved £200, and have nothing to show for it. I am so used to saving 50% of my salary every month, dont know whats happend recently.

Getting paid this week so going to start managing my finances much better in 2012. I seriously need a kick up the !!!.

Ew how exciting. I love how one idea leads to another and another :) Whatever would I use £100k for?! Well, our mortgage has about £74k left so we could pay that off for a start.. Let me think, I'm nearly 27 now.. so I would be mortgage free by the time I'm 37... How exciting :D

It is amazing to think about it...but if you saved it along side your mortgage, your mortgage would be much less than £74k.

At the rate of this challenge its £120,000 not £100k.

£120,000 just looks so much better :D
