Hi all,
I'm having another frustrating day off work due to ill health so adding up my figures so far! £100 transferred to First Home Saver + £130 (so far) ready to go to First Direct regular saver. Will update my sig.
I'm going to have 2-3 weeks off work starting 23rd of Jan to recover from an operation which means I will not earn any overtime for those weeks. However while being house-bound I won't be able to spend anything and won't be driving so it might make up for any money I lose. I expect I'll be checking this site a lot during that time off to help avoid internet shopping!

Just to confirm for you, that does work! I was housebound recovering from an op over Christmas and New Year and I didn't spend even a penny, hence the reason I managed to put a bit away to my holiday fund (not included in my £5k target as I will use it before the end of the year). Good luck for your op. Thinking quick healing thoughts for you
