Sigh, i was trying to transfer cash to my CA but the Santander website is playing up
. Its maybe a sign, im transferring utilities companies and having to pay SP atm however EON took my DD out. I've told EON to keep the account in credit but then I got a SP bill lol. Oh well, at least my main supplier is in credit I suppose.

I just made my first payment to savings account in 2012. £158, which is a random amount I know but it takes my savings from December's salary to £1000, although only the £158 counts for this challenge!
Payday is next week and I still have a few hundred pounds in my current account so will update a much better looking figure then!0 -
Just transferred the first £23.60 over to the ISA so finally got the ball rolling on my challenge!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

OK, off to a good start its payday today so whacked in as much as I can straight into the savings. In the process of buying a house so some of it may come back out by the end of the month, the expenses seem to be racking up fast!0

Saved #2:rotfl: on my shopping today (sorry my pound sign is currently on strike) so I'm transferring that to my savings too. It all adds up, eventually.0

The month was starting slow for OH, but today it hasn't rained but it has poured! He has got 2 good jobs to kick the month off and a refurb laptop for sale as well as a current work in progress job with a balance owed! Looks like I will be able to save a good amount come the end of January
Not 1/12 of what we aim for... but like I said... debts are comming off first and by half way through the year they will ALL be gone
and phone contracts will be gone so in theory, we will have about £400 a month extra to save once our debts are gone.
Very excited for 2012, can't wait to see what total we have by the end of the year
Well done to all of you who have got savings already!0 -
Went to the bank and put £6 in today.. the cashier looked at me like I was mad
DH even had a little snigger when I told him, but like I said, if I do that extra every week it will soon add up over the year! He stopped laughing when I explained that small thing alone was £300+ by the end of the year. All helps
I've also talked him into letting me have his monthly £16 cash expenses (£4 a week, I've no idea what it's supposed to be for, but it's mine now anyway) and also he gets a cheque for commission once every quarter and I've talked him into a couple of those too over the year. (The first two we need for decorating as our bedroom is desperate)
I've added all these things to my little colour coded spreadsheet :j
Sweet
ps current balance £9.42 lol, but haven't been paid yet since mid-Dec.0 -
