For what it's worth, most people recommend starting here:
http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalchelp.html
as a good starting point.
Hope you're not thinking I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but that will give you a load of pointers as to what you spend.
Then it's a case of adapting a spreadsheet - I have a simple spreadsheet with a few columns:
What, IN, OUT, Total at its simplest.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045
Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 20370 -

Why am i so excited that i NEED to save at least £1250 a month to reach my £15,000 target. Even been playing around with figures, seeing if i can go for £18,000 or even £20,000! If i saved that in a year i would be absolute amazed! £15,000 is a challenge, never mind another third on top of that! Bring on this challenge, 29 days and its on!!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Silly question that might have been answered already. Does the money have to be all there at the end of the year? If so then I probably won't make 12k, pilot's licenses ain't cheap0
