I need to save £11k by June  for our wedding and then am focusing on debt busting, but hope I'll be able to save another £1000 after that so please put me down for the full £12k

Hi,
Can you sign me up for £8,000. I think the full £12k will be just too much!
Thanks,

So people, what methods are you going to use to achieve your targets saving next year?0

So people, what methods are you going to use to achieve your targets saving next year?
Well, I'm not really sure this is much of a method or a plan but I've got drawn up a 4 year financial budget for myself (2011-2014) which tells me what I can spend on everything. As it stands, I can afford the £1000 monthly saving and the budget doesn't include extra income like mystery shopping, expense claims etc so hopefully I can earn a little more.
Good luck for reaching your goal!0 -
Hi All.
SLOWLYFADING - please could you change mine to £5k??? I am member 035.x
I have decided that I want to clear as much debt as possible while also saving for a couple of things. So I think £5k is realistic and will keep me more focused. Sorry to be a pain! :A9 years and counting0 -

Cutting back and saving on everything we can as well as having a good de-clutter. All of ours will go on overpayments on the mortgage. Just did some sums and if we over pay every month for the next 6 years we will pay our mortgage off 7 years early and save nearly £7k in interest - wow!!! Can we keep it up though????? Probably not but I should get pay rise next year and a bonus of £1K hopefully from a course I did as an incentive. So we will try our hardest.0
