£200 in to savings today to take me into four figures, £1150 now. There will be another £300 going into the FD regular saver at the end of the month, but apart from that it's going to be a bit lean - expensive collection of bills looming on the horizon now, so i'm likely to remain stuck below the £1500 barrier.
  • Just saved an extra £150 - I paid for our holiday at the end of the month, and my boyfriend has now paid some of his share back, the rest is to come at his next pay day. I don't mind this - I earn much more than him, and want to do nice things!

  • Mixed bag for February so far.
"Made" some little money on mysteryshopping (haven't seen it yet, but confident I didn't mess up)... and immediately spent it on a dress. Now, I'm not a big clothes spender, this is a GREAT dress for £15, it looks like this but colourful and with a nicer neck.
Working on my image and substituting my ripped trousers is definitely on 2012's to-do list so Id on't feel to bad about spending the money, buuuut, I've also spend on dinner with ze boyfriend and on a birthday party (great fun at a ceilidh though), and more expenses will arrive next week as we go for a weekend away in Dartmoor - the hotel was a groupon deal but there will be a taxi to get there from the station and maybe some extra meals.
Also my eSaver is being superdelayed because Santander "haven't received my documents"...

On the other hand, today I received some material for my other "project" and even though that's not cash related at all, it makes me happy :)

I was in the same position while my boyfriend was studying - it's funny that now that he is starting to earn my "we MUST save to the last penny" attitude has really switched on! In the past I would have been the one encouraging him to spend...

Have transferred about £295 and ~£5 interest to my ISA. Hoping for another £200-300 this month. Just dreading April/May when Car insurance, MOT, service is due :( Probably won't save anything whatsoever those two months so I may be looking at a £5k total not £6k...

    Off to update my sig...

  • WOHOOOO 8 days til payday. Got a few nights out coming up too and 2 birthdays this month. Then got alot on in March too. Glad hubbie and I have done alot of overtime which has allowed us to book a holiday to center parcs and also hubbie going on a golf outing for 2 nights.

Thinking of how much we could have actually have saved had we not had any of these events coming up but hey cant think like that cos we need to have a life too. :)

Well not much more to add from me at the min jsut waiting on payday which is taking forever. I dont know how id cope if i had to wait a full month each time to add more money. Least i can add on the 15th and the 28th of each month

Well done everyone, the encouragement on this thread is great :)
