  • What a bad day ! Lost my oystercard today en route to work and had to get another; cost me £7-odd just to get to work and back and that was walking to and from the stations to save the bus fare. Tfl haven't been able to transfer my monthly travelcard onto my new oystercard so I will have to fork out more money tomorrow to get to work. What a waste of money and less into my savings pot at month end!!! I should have just stayed in bed instead :p.
    2014 Savings Challenge #161: £6771.58 /£4000
  • Pay day came, have transferred 825 into my savings account, so just waiting for my interest on a couple of accounts to find out how much I have saved this month in total :p. That comes through monday :)

Although saying this, I am going on holiday just before pay day next month, which whilst I *think* I have already covered everything (picked up mine and my boyfriends spending money today, felt very rich with 11700 Koruna in my hand, shame its only 400 pounds!) there may be unseen extra expenses which means some of that might have to come back from the savings.....

Also, as am a complete newbie to this board, I was wondering on the ettiquette - when to say thanks for a post etc., if someone could point me in the right direction :)
    2021 MFW #35: £6000/£6000
  • Payday:j. My normal £40 transferred and an extra £5 which would have gone into my clothing budget because I have vouchers.

Last payday of the month:( so I think I shall look through my accounts and see what extra I have. My current account balance has been creeping up:D... possibly a sign of the apocalypse but also a signal that I should have put some more into my savings over the month.
  • Only little bits from me during the month, but payday is looming on Monday so am fairly certain there will be a jump then.
  • Updated my total - £215.31 saved this month. I need to do a bit better if I want to reach my target but its a start, and it would have been £50 more in Nationwide hadnt lost my deposit which has taken me two weeks of chasing and I am still no closer to getting it.

Thats a shame postergirl, is there any way you could ring them up and tell them you lost it and get a refund?

Just a warning on shop vouchers..... beware as when they go into administartion they wont let you spend them; dont get stuck with a load of worthless bits of paper. Peacocks is refusing to accept them at the mo.
