Oh I think I know who he is now - did he do Scotlands History? I like him !
  • Speaking of weeds why is it that the things you don't want to grow shoot up twice as fast as the things you do want?

Have you tried reverse psychology on the garden? Of all the tomatoes I planted this year there are two plants surviving - in the middle of the flower bed after the dog picked up the ones I discarded as straggly ones.

What is it about men with long hair? I'm a 70's girl, perhaps it's because all the lads had luxuriant tresses then? Sadly OH is lacking flowing locks, so I have to make to with ogling hairy hotties on the TV! And don't start me on men in makeup ...:rotfl:

My shopping trip proved successful. :D
    I got- 2 men's t-shirts
    A purple men's jumper
3 ladies jumpers (two purple and one green)
    A black skirt
    A thin black cardigan
A winter coat for my nephew
    Two black handbags
    Two t-shirts for my nephew
Five pairs of thick patterned tights
and two other things I can't remember off the top of my head....Grand total £16:T

It's one of those situations where I didn't really have the money right now, but I would have kicked myself if I hadn't brought the things at that price. It's a couple of Christmas presents sorted for a start and a few more things for my wardrobe.
Later I'm going to walk down to the local village with my friend and I'll see if they have some more cheap wool in the charity shops.

Hope the sun is shining where you all are. Take care xxxxx

Oh you did well, my Mr T didn't have much left but i did get some gloves, 2 belts and a pair of denim capri pants for next summer - total £4 (proper price £27)
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Totally off topic warning!

Ah you have the same memories as me! LOL! I do like a nice velvet jacket and a pair of tight jeans too...can't be doing with all these low slung jeans these days!

I'll let you into this weeks little secret... one of my old 'flames' had 'disappeared' not that I'd been keeping tabs on him mind! He was 6'3 thin as a rake, peroxide blonde, earrings, make-up and he smoked San Mauritz menthol cigarettes.

I had a crush on him in school, and about two years after I left I bumped into him and erm... well I shan't elaborate but I was a wild child and it was 1978. We had an 'interesting' relationship for about 18 months, and I broke it off as I was seeing someone else who was less hard work. He was bi. l and even at 18 I realised I'd probably get fed up with him 'wandering'.

Well I went on Facebook earlier in the week as DD is back at uni and it's how I keep tabs on her, and my mate from school who now lives in Australia had popped up in my inbox - JS is now friends with CR!!!

He's a right old geezer now!!! OMG I do NOT think I'd have recognised him in the street, talk about years have not been kind! :p Mind you he's probably saying something similar!

My boyfriends all sported 'Kevin Keegan' perms:eek: Things don't get much tougher than that (to keep the thread on topic!!!)

Yes, I did watch Neil Oliver fondling and caressing the Dover Boat, speaking lovingly of her joints and the cruel way in which she had met her untimely end having her 'ropes' cut ...... Do you remember him skinny-dipping in the sea on the separate ladies/gents beach? (think I need to get out more:o)

Oh dear Kate, yes sounds like you and I are of the same vintage, give or take a year or two! I really have to resist the urge to go up to some of these boys and pull their trousers UP! Must be getting old :D.

I actually went and bought one of the lads at work a belt as I was fed up looking at his pants hanging over the top of his trousers he wasn't very impressed to say the least but we work with the public and some of them are a lot older and quite shocked by the look.

    Afternoon fellow "toughers"
I am pleased to report that DD is currently talking to me (doubt that will last long though - no doubt she will have something to freak out at me about before the night is over!) I am sure I was an absolute angel when I was a teenage (Wink wink)

Got a couple of £1 bargains from Tesco - skull cardigan for DS who has suddenly, at the age of 10, decided to take an interest in his clothes, although thank god he hasn't yet reached the age of wanting designer everything. Anyway he has deemed it suitable to put on his back - RESULT.

I also got myself black cardy for £1. I desperately need to lose some excess weight (several stones worth) so I don't want to spend too much money on Winter clothes as I dont intend to wear them for long! Mind you last night's pudding hasn't helped. If only I could buy willpower - any got some they want to sell?!?

Had a great day at work, met a friend for lunch which a freebie as he paid. Out tonight at my Brothers for a pre-birthday meal sso I guess it has been a frugal day as someone else has paid to feed me! Almost worth getting a year older for!

Weather is forecast to be nice for the weekend so intend doing loads of washing and getting things fresh ready for the Winter month's this weekend - must pop over to the appropriate thread for tips and ideas. Will post again tomorrow, probably with a stinking hangover. xx
