Speeding fine from camera facing the wrong way.

Personally I think it's a valid question how best to reduce the financial impact of being caught.
Indeed, which is why we need to know the speed and limit and therefore if a Speed Awareness Course will come into play and keep his insurance premiums downIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -

Great. Thanks. I'll try that then............0 -
Peek is a manufacturer, they make more than one type of camera. Do you know which type it was that got you?
Just found some info on the Peek camera's from speedcamera's Uk:
Peek Speed Cameras
PEEK Traffic cameras within the United Kingdom are in minority in built up areas. Counties currently using Peek Traffic cameras include; Leicestershire, Greater London and Berkshire.
Peek rely on radar technology, similar to a Gatso. They are also rear-facing due to the 'flash'.
That appears to relate to all peek camera's - which should be facing the rear. Do you think I have a case?

Irrelevant to the question. I'll take a speed awareness course if offered and I have no other option.0 -
Are you sure it wasn't a Truvelo camera?
First you say it was GATSO now you say its PEEK? Where did it happen? I'm sure somebody could identify it for you from Google Streetview.0 -

Of course it's not irrelevant. The speed and limit will determine possible punishments and costs.
From your reluctance to answer the question I'm guessing you were going over 70 in a 30 limit. It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -

I think that site may be out of date, there is a lot of new camera equipment come into use these last few years.
Like I said, Peek are a brand. They do indeed make rear-facing GATSO style cameras, they also make rear-facing HADECS (managed motorway) cameras. They make others too.
I'm not familiar with the full Peek product line, so wouldn't like to say if you have a case or not, especially since I don't know which model of camera is involved. It's like posting for car advice and only saying you have a Ford.
As someone else suggested, a Google Streetview link showing the camera in question would be very useful.0 -
OP why are you so reluctant to answer questions about limits and speed? and exact location0
