    Well done on being strong.

I thought of you today when i was at work.

I would make sure that you delete things from your computer like this, you don't want him to find it.

    cheers chris x

More sums needed. Which is more, your mortgage or 20% of his salary.... what a sh** he is....
  • At the moment the mortgage is more I think but that's because of overpaying.

He has a duty to pay the mortgage as it is joint, child support is still applicable regardless of him paying the mortgage so go through the csa asap
  • He's not going to pay any whilst we stay in this property.

And you seriously think he is going to continue paying it once he has the money out of the house and has used it to buy a house with the floozie?

Quite honestly I would make a claim through CSA and leave him to decide if he wants to trash his credit rating by refusing to pay the mortgage - the house is in his sole name, so it wont affect your credit rating.

If the worst happens and he refuses to pay the mortgage, if you find a private rented house, any CSA payments are ignored for LHA (formerly housing benefit purposes).

Is he employed or self-employed? (it makes a big difference because people who are self-employed can hide income much more easily)
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

What if he stops paying it?

A friend of mine's husband left her for another woman and promised to pay all the bills, but stopped paying them after about 6 months, saying he couldn't afford it anymore.

I hope you get some good advice when you see your Solicitor OP. Best of luck.
