What a day it was.
I put on £5 and still got no reply to my texts - so I called the number they give on the voucher and got the indian call centre.
They made the mistake of telling me that maybe I'd been 'unlucky' and that all 2 million seats had been sold! I was having non of that, and spoke to a manager who confirmed that that wasn't the case. Well to cut a long story short (yep - a 2 hour story) I ended up speaking to their call centre in Plymouth where a lovely girl (thanks Sam) was able to sort it eventually. (They needed to take the number on the back of the sim card.) After that I got 8 texts in 30 seconds - 1 with the code for tonights film and 7 to say it'd already been sent and you can't apply more than once!!!!
Just got back - great film and even better when its 2 for 1 :beer:0 -

Check to see that you have not been charged for 8 texts. I duplicated once and was charged for both.researcher wrote: »What a day it was.

Hi there,
I've only just started using Orange. I text film to 241 on Wednesday this week as we were going to the cinema. I received my text back but due to unforseen circumstances were unable to go. Can I use this text next Wednesday? Or are the text messages only valid on the day you send the text?
Thank you

The 241 text "ticket" is only valid for the following Wednesday that you request it. For example, if you request it today (Fri), it is valid for the following Wed (28 Nov). If you request it on Wed 28, its valid on that day.
Unfortunately, they don't roll over to the following month, so its a waste of 35p on our part, and profitable for Orange.
They make loads of money from people like us requesting tickets and these going unused. I requested mine on the Wednesday evening before we set off from home, and it didn't arrive until we were already in the cinema watching the film.... told Orange why the delay, and they said that Wednesday is their peak day so delays are beyond their control!!!
When they introduced Orange Wednesday's, the loophole was that the text tickets were deducted from inclusive text allowances ;-) They've corrected that now though.0
