So if I buy 5 at £7 from Sainso's, I should get a £10 voucher, unless there is a maximum limit on this product?

The problem being is that you will still have to fork out an extra £10 and hope you don't misplace and do eventually use the voucher.
At Tesco however, you just pay £25 and no waiting for the £10 you have been "overcharged" initially.
Depends if you want to "lend" Sainsbury's £10!!!!
See how it goes after the "novelty value" has worn off.
I have seen some vouchers at the till stating an amount saved, now this is more like it.

You are making a (big) assumption that everyone lives within easy reach of a Tesco. Personally the nearest Sainsburys is just down the road - but nearest Tesco ( apart from small Express/Metro stores ) or Asda are over 10 miles away.

No assumption at all. I've posted previously that this will obvoiusly benefit some, especially those with limited access to the other BIG supermarkets. It will also suit those loyal to Sainsbury's (and there are lots), a big plus to those going back week after week.
Simply deducting the amount at source, rather than printing vouchers would be a bigger plus for ALL.
As previously pointed out, I'm NOT one of their intended market.
I do have the luxury though to shop where and when I like.

Yes! (or just go to Tesco and buy 5)...this is where I get confused as to how this can ever MAKE you money..?? lol :rotfl:

It can't? Not sure why people getting so over excited :j Your just getting a price match on some items from other supermarkets - but only if your whole basket adds up to more. Handy if you cant get to them (like me) or dont like them (me too lol). But not a cash generator per say - your still giving them the money in the first place!

That wouldnt make someone go back though would it?

Printing the voucher ensures they go back - also I think the voucher is valid for 2 weeks so makes you go back more regularly.

I did my shopping at Sainsburys today, spent £70 I didnt think I bought that many brands as we are always looking out for cheaper deals. We got back £9 which I didnt expect I thought we be lucky to get £1 tops

We dont have a Asda in my area only Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys. I am surprised though Morrisons arent included from what I can tell

The data gets scrapped from the ASDA and Tesco supermarkets, as Morrisons don't do online shopping Sainsbury's can't get the prices. ASDA only include them as they pay a company to check prices instore for them.

Absolutely. If you don't go back in time, then simply there would be no saving.

Well done savemoney, obviously you benefit from this...........once you have used your voucher. Pity it wasn't the other way on though and you had saved £9.

Sadly (or happily?) my shop was £15.76 cheaper than asda/tesco (on £110 shop). Not surprised as I generally shop alot of offers - which would usually be branded of course.
