Worked OK for me today, expected 92p voucher, got 92pence voucher and accepted by Tesco later on. Also got a £2 conditional spend voucher. No problems.
Just need to make up a shopping list from MySupermarket, good practice anyway.

Was 4.87 what you expected? If you don't know will you be checking? My voucher was only 59% of what it should have been, and they even tried to deny they could get it wrong (in the store and on their Care Line). Don't get me wrong, they were polite and helpful most of the time, but still wrong, illegal, and ripping me off :D

So it's worth checking on My Supermarket since they don't give you access to Brand View's data. Then if you find you're short go and get the short amount... And don't forget to charge for your time. They will pay it because they know if they get it wrong that they are at fault, morally and in law.

Yes, if you shop at JS this sounds the way to do it, at least in terms of organising how to put things through (branded "winners" first perhaps!)

Yeah you might be right LIL2... I just thought Sainsbo are making such a big thing of this new initiative and the fact that it is easy for the customers. So I was passing and tried it, but it did not work on a small basket of items.

Yes it started at "You owe me 4 quid" but it was their fault it cost them more than my basket in total. I didn't ask for it to be so complicated. They made it that. I got my £4 and almost £20 on top of it. Not bad really.

They say "Live well for less" yet my experience was that you can only live well for less if you do more than the average Sainsbury shopper would do. I guess that's what they're banking on.

Fair point. We have made a big deal out of tbh. I work there and we have a huge amount of pos displays with it on. impossible to miss it really.

And they have tested it out, so it should work correctly!

Maybe I was a bit to harsh in my previous post, and I'm sorry! :)

After working on tills for this weekend, I can safely say that normal vouchers. i.e. double nectar points, 50p of XYZ, £5 of when you spend ....... they have been barely coming out!!:eek::eek::mad:

last week it was like 3 per customer, this week its just brand match. and if its a "we're cheaper...." then it's unless for the customer!!

    Not that impressed tbh.

So its not my imagination then. I nearly always used to get £2 wys £20 or 200 points wys £50 or similar ones most weeks but for the last 3 weeks I've had nothing. So I tried shopping different days to normlal, still nothing. So I've tried getting my average spend per shop down by split shopping, dividing up my basket so my spends are only £1 or £2 at a time. Still nothing. Eventually I got 50 points for a £20 spend so I used that on a "brand match" basket. But 50 points is only worth 25p so if this is all I am to get I wont bother doing big shops.

No problem LIL2. The Sainsbury HQ obviously thinks it's awesome and perfect. They put their store manager and colleagues in a very difficult/embarrassing position. Not nice really.

I see we've got a new addition to Asda price guarantee today. On top of the difference plus 10% they're giving us £5 for trying the system out, I don't think you even have to "Win" to get the fiver.

My experience was that Asda's Price Guarantee is already a better deal than Sainsbury's "Live well, pay more" / "Brand Mismatch". This extra fiver kind of smashes it completely.

I only gave out about 2 normal ones all weekend!
For you to improve you're chances of getting them you have to 1. spend less then £20 or spend over that but don't buy any branded products! basely stop yourself getting a brand match thing.

p.s. I gave quite a few 1p, 5p and 7p vouchers out from the brand match. the customers were well pleased :D

Yeah the asda thing does sound very good I agreed. But what if you don't intend to spend £40 there!

So if you get a brand match voucher - whatever it says - "your shopping matchs" or "your shopping was cheaper at Sainsburys" etc, that will stop you getting any other type of till spit. You cant get a conditional spend eg £2 wys £20 or bonus points 50 wys £20 etc at the same time?
Interesting. Very easy for me to spend just £1 or £2 at a time, and also easy not to buy branded items at least for a week, stocked up on peas, Mccains and bread for the week.

Please can I also ask are people with brand new Nectar cards or unregistered ones getting any different till spits? There was a few dasy a week or so back when unregistered cards were getting some bonus point when they registered. I've got a stray one in my bag.

I would say that's 99% true. That's the experience I've had this weekend.

Would be interesting to see if anyone out there has had a brand match thing and another voucher also!

Didn't noticed anything like that. But then again it was literally just none stop brand match vouchers again and again for everybody. then someone spend £20 and it gave them a normal voucher. and I had to quickly look at it to see why it hadn't given them a brand match one. Answer was she didn't buy any brands.
