The prices that Sainsburys compares with Tesco and Asda is at midnight. Take something that is £3 at all of them. Mr T decides to reduce this to £2 at 2am. Even though its cheaper for customers to buy it at Mr T, you will not be given back £1 coupon back if the other items you buy are Sainsburys own stuff.

But remember they do make mistakes. It's worth calling the free Care Line number and getting it reviewed line by line. In my situation last week I got the £4 they missed off my coupon of £6 AND they paid for my call when I had to use my mobile, AND they gave me £15 for my time (the hour I spent trying to get them to see they had got it wrong). Brand Mismatch indeed.

I should add, they are very gracious and polite handling these challenges. Ok, the store manager chap was a bit quick to say that Brand Match works and it is correct, but he soon recounted on that. The Care Line person was a bit "short" at one point but when I was clear that my complaint was not with her personally, she was very civil. Doesn't stop it being criminal to rip customers off and make it hard to sort it out, but it is good to deal with nice people. They don't get paid enough to deal with nasty callers, so I always try to remember that whenever I contact a call centre.

    moc = money off coupon
    Thank you:)
  • I would say that's 99% true. That's the experience I've had this weekend.

Would be interesting to see if anyone out there has had a brand match thing and another voucher also!

Didn't noticed anything like that. But then again it was literally just none stop brand match vouchers again and again for everybody. then someone spend £20 and it gave them a normal voucher. and I had to quickly look at it to see why it hadn't given them a brand match one. Answer was she didn't buy any brands.

My shift yesterday was the complete opposite!!
I was giving out brand match vouchers and another 3 MOC! to nearly everybody :)
  • I was given a brand match voucher, a £3 off your next shop of £30 voucher and a triple points on your next shop voucher all from the same shop the other day.

Ive been twice now. First time I got a thing saying my shop was £4ish cheaper by shopping there, and then yesterday the same but £5ish. Probably because I mostly buy Sains own label stuff, or branded stuff that is on offer anyway :)

    I did get a £5 off a £50 next shop voucher though

Why am I so suprized at being disappointed by this!

What was even the point in offering something like this? They could have made this so useful and really hit alot of the less financially fortunate shoppers out there, insted it seems to be only available to those who have £20 to blow on branded items (knowing fully well that even when compared to other stores, they're going to always come off higher priced then own-store lines).

What a waste of everyones time?!

You do not have to spend £20 on branded lines just over £20 in total which has to include at least 1 branded item........or there would be nothing to compare !!

:T make sure you sign up for fast track as they often give coupons with money off just for using it........my wife was getting 2 different coupons a time worth a total of £4.50 and she would only buy a tenners worth of shopping at a time so it worked out near enough half price !! :T:T:T
  • If you check the price per pint on multi pack beers you will in the whole find Sainsburys are cheaper than Tescos as they do have bigger packs as you say.

Blimey Savltd..had to look that one up. Fast track is self scanning.
The next big thing I suppose.
Before a big shop I usually put one small item thru in the hope of getting a £2 conditional spend voucher, but have given up hope since Brand Matching.

Only branded products in a shop of £28 were........

    Andrex x9 4.39
    Andrex x9 4.39
    PG T bags 2.17
    Jaffa cakes x12 1.00

Discount of Andrex 2 for 7.50 saving £1.28

Other stuff was JS own brand eg cheese, oats, biscuits, strawberries, rice, juice.

Got a voucher for £7.40 off next shop. Sounds bonkers. There was only £10 of brands there.
