    Hi everyone,
Only got tidied up late last night due to watching tv with DH. Think it was called Tony Blair on trial:D . We often watch old episodes of Yes Prime Minister on sky and giggle when what they've thought of an outrageous plan has actually happened since, wonder if last nights programme will be the same:D .

Last day of DS coming home for lunch [STRIKE]thank goodness[/STRIKE] :T . I need to go shopping and don't have time so I think for the last day it might be an o/s takeaway of fish and chips for the kids.

Me and DH are going to some friends tonight, as a cheap night out. Not sure if I'm meant to be making a chilli to take:cool:

Have a good day everyone

well feeling a bit better today. have sorted out my course - its fine. I do need manager's permission but its more a formality than anything else. So its still costing £565 but at least I will get a bit of paper at the end.

today I have loads of studying to do. ...and nothing much else.

hope everyone gets better soon and has as little stress as possible today.

  • Morning all,
Feeling very slobby this morning - had a cub planning meeting here last night so I did major clean of downstairs - plus I "bottomed" ds1's room - only a one binliner job - and made fresh scones for the meeting with HM jam - to everyone's amazement.

Result - don't feel like doing anything today - BUT this afternoon is a big day in the Thriftmonster house as we are collecting dh early and all going into town to pay off the mortgage:T :T So I have to go to the butcher for 4 steaks to celebrate and peel some spuds for HM chips. Might treat us all to onion rings as well. Funny thing after all this time saving money - we haven't the heart to go and splurge on a meal out - it's still OS all the way (well the steak won't be but it'll be cheaper than even a takeaway:D

We were lucky to escape most of the gales here - hugs to anyone affected - and to PP re the injection and to dlb for the fence.

Enjoy your day and think of us in the Nationwide this afternoon - couldn't have done it this quickly without all of you here:beer:

  • Did anyone see the follow up from last year on BBC2 last night.

I was so addicted to this programme last year, it was how I ended up on MSE after googling.

I can't wait to see the family of surfers who were very OS, does anyone remember them the husband made those stoves.

Anyway what a wonderful programme it was, the family was also OS and I had nothing but admiration for them. So inspiring.

    hi again guys!!
Im feeling a little calmer than earlier (still mad like!!)
I have spoken to council inspector, who ended up at witches house last night after they complained,he was mad too and said he now understood what we ment about them looking down there nose at everyone, he said they did to him and kept refering to me and dh as the council people!!!!
He agreed to move the fence to keep the peace even though he said he couldnt see the point but he refused to put in a corner post as they wanted ,so he said he is excpecting them to complain again!!
The inspector even said `i dont know how they dare let me in, i have seen the inside your house (meaning me) and after seing inside theirs i am shocked they can even look down at you, their house is discusting!!!` LOL

Oh well they have moved the post and tidyied up on my side, and i am now looking forward to the summer!!hahahah

Right must get on , havent got much done what will waiting for inspector and having kids at home.
    Take care everyone

  • dlb Well done for keeping your cool.

We have all had a laugh at the Witch next door, but we are pleased that you seem to have resolved the matter.

The Inspector seemed to be on your side in the end. I knew you'd get the upper hand.

    Brilliant news.
