Been a triathlon suit is a suit that you can swim and run and cycle in, to cut down on the time between events. I'm less bothered about the time, and more bothered about 'fitting in':D I suppose, if I go in my old gear I will stick out as a sore thumb. I tried it on, and it's actually pretty nice, and quite comfy. Wondering if I can put a sports bra over the top of it for the run part.
I'm very impressed with the running!

I've done the 50% of exercise that's all in your head....just need to to the physical bit now!;):D

It has all gone rather wrong in the last week, have been so busy at work that it has kind of gone by the wayside. I need to stop making excuses and get out there.

There's a lad at work who has just started triathlons last year, his enthusiasm is very infectious, he told me just to get out there and do one, they are great fun.

They are dear though, about £45 per triathlon:eek:

Will be going for a very slow and fairly slow run today with Mr B, will let you know how I get on:(

Can't believe how long it has been since I posted. So long that I dropped off the page on my subscription list. Bad Banwa:D

Good Things since I last posted:j
    • Am not as far into overdraft as I had predicted, so overall debt is lower
    • Spends are in control. Pet food quite high because it was cheap and I have stocked up.
    • Haven't had a take-away this year yet
    • On top of washing and ironing (I know I always congratulate myself for this but I HATE doing it)
    • Mr B has had full okay from hospital
    • Pretty delighted with debt payment so far considering we started just before Christmas.:j
Bad Things since I last posted:exclamati
    • Finally faced my fears and went to the doctors(which is a good thing), but it looks as though the tinnitus is permanent:(. Have had it for 2 years, been to the docotrs about a year ago but never went back because I wanted to believe it was temporary. Have follow up on Tuesday, she'll refer me if it's no better.
    Spends
    • 10th £25 pet food, £15 groceries
    • 12th £47 food (£28 of which was meat again), £2 cleaning and toiletries, £32 diesel
    • 13th - £20 pub lunch:naughty:
    Hope everyone is still behaving.

    Banwa:)

  • Well done Banwa, looking good x :D
As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again
  • Hi Banwa ...... you're still doing fantastically well - if you start to struggle, just think about how much more the debts would've been if you hadn't started tackling them (used to work for me) - instead of being around £2.5k less :j(this is fantastic in such a short time) .... I bet they'd have been at least the same amount more.

I love watching triathlons on the TV .....:D

:rotfl:I meant very slow and fairly short (what an eejit). Not sure why I put a sad face either.;)

1.9 miles just, it took 20 minutes, but I ran the whole way. So that is progress.

RFTA, I have never seen a triathlon on the tv, will keep my eyes peeled. I want to know if anyone else rides a pretty bike with mudguards and panniers:D

Me!:D Although it does have a flat tyre atm which I really must get fixed ..... (how on earth it can go flat when it was fine the last time I was on it and it's been in the garage since is beyond me!)

Triathlons are often on Eurosport (you get this with the cheapest Sky package now:D) - there's a Biathlon on tomorrow and Luge is on just now (which I love too!)

  • Hi banwa :) just thought i'd pop by and see how you're doing. You seem to be doing very well with spends, i need to take a leaf out of your book :o!

Good luck with the runs - the last time i went on one i managed to run for 10 secs and had to walk for 40 before doing 10seconds running again :o so unfit! lol

  • Hi Banwa,

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Yes, but has your bike got a bell...... :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that the tinnitus isn't going to go away :( At least if you know now and you can learn to cope with it. Glad Mr B had OK from hospital.

Better to stock up on the pet food whilst it is on special. I thought I was really clever and was buying my dog food from a cash and carry that was quite a way away - I have found it online for pretty much the same price delivered to the door :o I have labradors and they would eat anything but I do like them to have a pretty decent food as I like to think it keeps them a bit fitter and healthier (the same as us really - if we eat good food its good for us).

And I am definitely behaving, the man flu is stopping any kind of misbehaving as I don't have the energy :-)
    Just keep swimming!

    Me!:D

Do you mean you do triathlons?
the last time i went on one i managed to run for 10 secs and had to walk for 40 before doing 10seconds running again

But that's how you start and I was amazed when I started how quickly I progressed from that to continual running. I am really unfit at the mo, but it's all coming back. I ran a bit further today but a bit faster, every time I run I see an improvement. What's more, today I really enjoyed it:eek:

Sorry you're not so well Itsa. :(

And no, I don't have a bell much to my annoyance. I have quite a sexy bike (that's right, sexy) but am thinking about putting a really OTT flowery bell on it.

The tinnitus does suck quite a bit but the fact that I am not in pain and am in good health makes it all quite bearable.:)
