You sound a lot more positive today yay :-)
With regards to your missed payment, have you considered setting up minimum payments to go out automatically? This way you'll never miss a payment but can still carry on overpaying.
Is there a way you can analyse how your OD is being spent and work out where it's disappearing? I know you already keep a spending diary but maybe keep a running total like we used to have to before online banking.
You sound really excited about the career move, how fab and nice to see.

Glad to hear you are feeling better since your tiff with Mr B. I often feel the same about Mr Been (sorry, had to do that :rotfl:) too as he has the "luxury" of not being as close to the money as me, and can therefore live in relative denial. He does his bit though and is especially good at negotiating/find good deals.
That sounds like a good career choice. PM me if I can help, I have experience in this area.

Thanks, I might well do this:)bonnington wrote: »I wish you well if you go down that route. (CIMA)
I did a home study course with the AAT and completed their three levels at NVQ 2, 3 & 4. I considered ACCA & CIMA. In the other I didn't do any. This was because of the cost and I couldn't get a job in accounting and never did.
I think AAT would be a good place to start. Luckily for me, I work for a huge company and there would be lots of opportunity to move to that side of things. My employer is pretty good at developing people. Sometimes I pinch myself when I realise how lucky I am working there. You sound a lot more positive today yay :-)

I am logging my spends, honest! I have taken your advice though to have a look exactly where it has all gone, and I hadn't included in my figures- Phone bill £50 (thought it came out in March)
- Mr B £20 cash (I suppose he needs some pocket money:p)
- Mr B mobile £5
- Overdraft charge £32 (I thought it would be gone)

Good Things about today:)
- 4 mile run. Went with some lovely girlies from work and they went slowly for me and they defninitely made me go further than I would have done on my own.:j
- NSD. I actually have around 5 nsds per week these days, I seem to do it with relative ease so I don't feel it's a task, but there isn't much else to put on the good list so I thought i would add it:D
- I think I might have got it wrong about it being a good bonus this year.:( I might not have hit all the targets. Got my review tomorrow, will find out more then.

Yes I did! I thought there were two KPIs that we would get 3.5% on each. So I thhought I would only get 3.5%. But in fact we have 7 KPIs each worth 1%, so it will be 1% I lose, BUT we did so well at one of them that we might get up to 8% overall. Don't fully understand the ins and outs and nothing is confirmed, but it is sounding hopeful

Good Things since I last posted:)
- Year end appraisal/review went fine. Made my thoughts about finance known and my boss didn't laugh at me:j
- Mr B's work have got one of their big old contracts back from Feb so stuff should pick up for him again - phew!
- My feet are a right mess from the run on Monday. I couldn't walk last night, I have a blister that has gone quite manky (gross, sorry)
- Mr B's work has been really quiet.
£30 groceries
Yup, blew budget for food. I think I had tightened a bit too much and was not enjoying the food I was cooking. In fact on Monday night I couldn't be bothered to finish my dinner because it wasn't nice enough.
So I went to Sainsburys and bought some salmon and asparagus, some taste-the-difference potatoes. Hardly wild and reckless, but it was so nice. So am going make an effort not to scrimp on food when it's not really necessary. We don't eat preprepared stuff and we don't throw anything away, we don't spend money going out, or smoke or have holiday, we are easily meeting our payments so there is no need to eat like students.
I think I will monitor spends on food but not try to stick to a budget.
Had haggis tatties and neeps tonight - yum
Sorry for wittering

Good Things since I last posted:)
- Stepchildren are here. Have bought cheap loo rolls so that I don't get annoyed with them. :rotfl:I decided that I would be extra lovely to them and bring them food and drinks and not make them do anything but enjoy themselves, and I have to say it has put me in a different frame of mind and I am enjoying having them here. And they are sweet and grateful. Hope it lasts;)
- Typo discovered on my spreadsheet. Have paid £400 less than I thought I had. Can't bring myself to update my signature. Too depressing.
- Big spends on food etc for the weekend. With step children here it's inevitable so I just need to suck it up.
- Worst one. My sister is in hospital. I think in the HDU. My Mum and Dad are going up to see her and I am going to wait until they give me the full update before I worry too much.:(
