Pipex switching to TalkTalk, contract void ?

    As a Pipex customer already LLU being transferred to Talk talk.
    Used 0800 049 0145 and their offer is
    Talk talk plus for the unlimited broadband and calls
    13.80 line rental plus 14.50 broadband being 28.30 for an 18 month deal sweetened by a 7.25 discount for 12 months.
    Anyone impressed?

    That's basically half-price Plus package for 12 months. If you haggled harder you'd probably get 6 months half-price line rental and a new router as well. :)

    In regards to an email address you can iether use the Contact us Form on the Pipexuk webiste or [EMAIL="care@pipexuk.com"]care@pipexuk.com[/EMAIL]
    Unfortunately this is not true.
    If you use that email address you receive an automated response
    saying:
    Thank you for contacting Pipex UK Ltd.
    In an effort to improve the speed and accuracy of our email customer support we ask that all support contact requests now go through our online support area......
    If you use the contact forms. You get a response along the lines of:

    Sorry but we are unable to confirm anything because your account is being migrated to Talk Talk so please call our Dedicated Re-pricing Team as they are the better place to answer your query and address your concern at the earliest. They can be reached on 0800 049 0145. Their lines are open from Monday to Friday - 8am to 8 pm, Sat & Sun 8am to 5 pm.

    So it seems there is currently no customer support via email so if like me you have a disability which makes it very painful & difficult to speak with sufficient volume & clarity for someone on the other end of a phone to make out what you say then you are not going to be able to communicate with customer services at all. If this situation does not change soon then I will probably switch suppliers because that will be a much simpler process.

    Hi Frugal,

    If you visit the TalkTalk Members Forum and use the Contact Us form there.

    If you specifically mention in the subject that this relates to your thread here on MSE I can pick this up and try to forward it on to the Pipex Teams.

    As advised we cannot access their systems directly or view your account until this is migrated to the TalkTalk systems. This is the reason we refeered to the contact details on the pipex website. However if these are failing to generate a response we can try and send this through alternative methods.

  • Hi I am with Pipex I have only just looked at the notification letter from talk talk anouncing the price hikes - further to this I want to retain my BT landline - I definately dont want to be switched to talk talk - the worry is am I too late to get out of the contract - as far as I am concerned talk talk are not honouring the existing contract by changing the terms and pricing - I wonder talk talk representative can you answer if I call tomorrow to get my mac code it wont be too late will it please help?

  • I've not been transferred yet - was expecting beginning of Nov then had a letter saying it was delayed, but no date yet

    Why would anyone move from an unlimited package to a limited package? Just join Sky and get unlimited broadband for £7.50 per month.

    @timelliott if you are yet to be migrated you can request a MAC code via the Pipex Teams using the contact details on your bill. We cannot assist you with account queries until the migration has taken place

    @andz111 - iof your yet to transfer any speed issues would neeed to be directed to the Pipex Teams.

    @ch-ch-changes - All customers that are yet to be migrated will receive a letter advising of the updated date once this is scheduled.
