  • can the rep answer the following

why are people being offered different tariffs ie half price for 12 months or free upgrade to 80g for free

pipex can offer you unlimited with phone line and calls for £15

seems very unfair on people who dont complain

talktak offered me £14.50 two days before the price reduction to £10 i guess the line manager did not know about the price change ?

    H mrfrnks,

Migration to LLU is an automated process with TalkTalk.

When your services were migrated from Tiscali - TalkTalk you will have been notified of the change in terms and conditions. At this point if LLU was available your line will have been migrated, alongside the migration to TT billing systems. That is unless migration to LLU had already taken place with Tiscali, prior to the aquisition by TalkTalk. I cannot speculate on whether this is the case without access to the account.

However I can assure you that once migrated to TT the upgrade to LLU is part of the agreement for combined phone and BB services and will be completed at the earliest possible opportunity. This is detailed in the T&C's and letters sent to you when you migrated from Tiscali - TalkTalk would confirm where thee can be found on the TalkTalk Website.

  • I am a Pipex customer being transferred to Talk talk.
I have spent two hours now this morning and have got no further in trying to find out what my call charges are.

My bill for broadband and phone has gone from £15 to £19.40. An increase of nearly 30%

The new package I am on takes effect re calls from 25th October. The letter instructs me to go to the talk talk web site /pricing, but my package and call costs is not there.

So I tried to contact them via email, but the system is not working. I then phoned Talk talk to listen to a person I could barely understand. He said I was in the wrong place and gave me another number. This next person repeated what the previous person had said and put me through to another number which was dealing with Pipex customers....yes you guessed it....high volume of calls and could not get through. And all this time making calls and not knowing what they cost!

What an absolute shambles and a rip off considering the new package.

I am knocking on a bit and do not know how to change provider at all. I still do not know what my call rates are and after a good few hours have been unable to talk to anyone I can understand or who can deal with my problem.

Fortunately I have now got the bit between my teeth and I am not going to let this drop.

This change to Talk talk is an absolute mess and an excuse for increased charges, plus a complete lack of customer care and in my case no means of discussing it with anyone at all.

I am going for a long walk now as there is steam coming out of my ears. But when I get back............................

    whirlingdervish.
    try calling 0800 0490145
for talk talk & pipex customers
person i spoke to was english, no indian accent.
  • Thanks
That is the number I finally got this morning but could not get through! Will try again and thanks for your help
  • Update

    Managed to get through

Very helpful and apologetic for the confusion. It seems there is a delay for the transfer of Pipex to Talk talk and the 7th Nov is not now the transfer date for some customers.

To compensate for the delay they are knocking £10 off the monthly billing through Pipex until transfer. (This may be just for those who complain - I am not sure)

When I complained about the increase in price I was offered a special one year deal with Talk talk.

Anytime calls, Broadband and line rental for £21.55p - a saving for me on what I pay now for Pipex, calls and BT line rental

Obviously keen to keep customers (I was leaving!) but I think this is a good deal and I take my hat off to them for going all out to keep customers.

Anyone with Pipex - if you want a better deal, ring the number in the post above

Now I have my fingers crossed that in a few months the transfer goes ahead without any problems.

Websites for Pipex and Talk talk not helpful at the moment.

    Finally calmed down now.
    Thanks 2see

Best of luck you Pipex customers
  • My Pipex (formerly Toucan) account is being migrated to Talk Talk the unlimited access I currently have is being replaced with a £40Gb cap as they intend to transfer me to the essentials package & for the privilege of having my account seriously downgraded they want to charge me £27.62 per month despite the essentials package only costing £21.30 per month for Talk Talk customers.

Trying to phone them is a complete waste of time due to poor English on their part making them difficult to understand & me having a paralysed vocal chord which makes it difficult for them to understand me. Does anyone know of an email address for pipex customer service where they will actually discuss the problem rather than just replying with a phone number to call?
  • I've just got through to them on 0800 049 0145. They answered straight away.. Its in England so no problem with language.

I was offered Unlimited Broadband, 6 months @ £10.20 then 6 months @ £20.01. This is for a non LLU exchange.

My line & calls stay with BT.

She said the changeover from Pipex to TalkTalk is now on 28th November.

    Hi All,

In regards to an email address you can iether use the Contact us Form on the Pipexuk webiste or care@pipexuk.com

As previously advised we cannot provide support from the Online Community Team within TalkTalk until migration has occured. Although this si the case we will still try and help/advise where we can assist.

During migration there are specific teams in place to handle all queries from pipex customers who can be contacted on the various details wihtin this thread.
