I have stuck to one of my new years resolutions and have bought and started using stardrops. So far only used it in an old spray bottle diluted with water and cleaned my little fella's high chair and the kitchen surfaces. Our bathroom is looking a bit grubby, ew!! So going to give it a go in there tommorow, we have a jacuzzi bath and the jets are a nightmare to keep clean so fingers crossed!

It is so cheap, got in my monthly asda shop for about 60p or similar

I used this today to get a massive stain out of a light coloured carpet from where soil from the Christmas tree had fallen. It's completely gone and only took me about 1 minute, absolutely brilliant stuff. I bet carpet cleaner wouldn't have got it out so well and woulld have cost loads more. Thanks to everyone who's posted about this.

I forgot you can use it on carpets too. I wonder what would happen if I put a tiny bit in my steam cleaner?!!!!!

I ran out of rinse aid a while back, and looked at the contents of rinse aid, they are practically the same as Stardrops, so since then Ive diluted a capful with water and have used it ever since. It works well, just wanted to share a tip.

Does anyone know what chemicals are in Stardrops?

I don't really like to use chemicals in my house as you never know what damage they do to you or the environment - especially in the long term. This stuff appears good but probably at a price.

Glad to find this thread -- I have had a bottle of Stardrops under the sink for a few years but haven't used it much, I'm going to get it out now and have a good clean. Would be nice to clear out the under-sink cupboard and not have so many different cleaners.

Also apparently cola in the toilet overnight is good for getting a sparkling pan but I have never tried it myself.

I tried coca-cola (my OH got a litre free with a takeaway, he can't turn down anything free even though we don't drink cola!). It was frankly awful -- made no difference at all, in fact I felt it made the limescale look even worse.

This thread gives a lot of information about the chemical side of Stardrops.

I've just bought my first ever bottle of this stuff and i'm about to clean the outide of my very yellow fridge. It's an old (10 - 12yr) hotpoint frost free and it doesn't look like it was ever meant to be white, so i'll see what wonders Stardrops can do.
