I'm loving it! It combines my love of skincare, make up and meeting people AND it'll bring in more income.

Hi Linda what kind of time commitment a week is that?
I try and get at least one overtime a month, it normally equates to between £100 £150 after tax, makes a big difference really. I don't have one coming at the end of this month, but we are on PRP so this year I will have a £400 bonus to look forward to at some point. I'm a bit like a kid really, but instead of saying 'are we there yet?', I say 'can I do overtime this weekend?!'I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Just back in from 2nd job, having clocked up another 5 hrs and a free roast dinner.
I sent in my timesheets last weekend, from Dec - present date so should expect a nice little amount come the end of April! Not sure the bosses will love me as it will come out of this years budget!!! Oooooops!

Hi folks
I am in a weird position that as a manager I shouldn't work overtime -but at times we need staff to be on the floor an sometimes that needs to be me!
When I have manager's head on I can't afford myself but!! my cc statements say I need the work! - WHAT TO DO?0 -
I too am a manager, and if I do anything above my 37 hrs per week I get paid at a rate slightly lower than my basic manager hourly rate - doesn't seem fair to be paid less for any extra hours but such is life.
I say do the overtime and don't worry about your staffing budget one jot!!!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Hello all can I join?? I think its testament to how much overtime Ive been doing that i never saw this thread before!
Well my overtime isnt so much overtime as standby and callout. The rota has been made up 3 months in advance and I know I have 2 weekends and 10 nights to do. each should realise about £50... and I already have £250 under my belt.
The good thing is - I dont have to claim it til I want it. THe bad thing is I need it - like yesterday! I tihnk Iwill claim in £250 chunks so it doesnt get frittered. First target, pay off £500 I owe friend for bailing me out with house problem.0 -
