The Overtimers Club

Who is doing overtime to help pay off their debt? If you are, post your goals and progress here, either in hours of overtime or money earned. :D

My goal is to do at least 15 hours a month of overtime in 2007. So far this month, I've done.... nil! But only because I was off sick the first week in January! I brought some home tonight and will try and get in at least an hours worth of work before bedtime.

Who's with me?

  • Me I am... except I am signed off at the moment due back on Thursday 25th snd I can't wait... I feel totally bored and going a bit crackers. I have got some overtime booked for Friday and Saunday next week.
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

I do overtime when it becomes available ... they keep cancelling it due to lack of budget, then the work piles up and they find the money from somewhere

So far this year managed 2 hours (can't really do much more as i work full time and part time so not enough hours in the day to do anymore than an hour a day)

If overtime continues im aiming to do 4 hours a week just need to try and get up early :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Yep Im doing overtime to help with my debts too. It is available in 4 hour, 8 hour & 12 hour shifts. It seems to be freely available at the moment & rates of pay are fantastic.

    Decembers overtime : 56 hours overtime - £1150

Januarys overtime so far : 40 hours overtime - £920 + £75 additional bonus for working New Years Day

Long may it continue. I have 10 days holiday in Feb so I hope to work that & get paid overtime. Aiming for at least a grand a month until December 2007.

Hi, I am unable to do Overtime as such as I am as sales rep and kind of have to fit into when the stores I visit can see me.

Saying that Idid take on extra work over christmas at tesco doing nights. does this count? about 70 Hours over the month. (Yes, no social life lol)
I am also hoping to get regular work at tesco after speaking to one of the managers so hopefully I can officially say im working overtime ;)

Anything for that extra income... I just want the debt gone!

  • I wish I could do overtime at work... :( One of the downsides of working for a local authority I suppose.

I do work Sundays at Tesco though in the bakery to earn a few extra pennies.

I was doing 20hours min (upt o 60!) a month OT, however after doing it for a year it was really getting me down!!!!

I stopped in December.. and Jan will be my first pay packed with out the extra ££££, which I'm not gonna like! I've done a couple hours this month, but on holiday most of Feb!!! So back to the grindstone in March, but my new hobby kicks off then so can't do all the weekends I wanted and can't during the week as I have to car share! (any excuse! lol)

I do lots of unpaid overtime. :( If overtime was offered I'd take as much as I could....but sadly it isn't.

    I'm jealous now!
