Me too, but they call it a Management Job !!!!!!, like it or lump it

 yep! I know that feeling that feeling but negiotiated that I was not prepared to sacrifice my personal life for work at the drop of a hat which was what was happening. The Area Manager agreed that I could have the 'extra hours' paid or taken back which I was most pleased about!

However, I work somewhere else as well and overtime was cut there about 4 months ago but word is there will be unlimited very very soon! Quids in!

It's payday! First thing this morning I logged onto my bank account to see my bank balance. It was higher than usual, but less than I had expected. When I got my paystub at work, I found out what happened. We get weekday over time at 1 1/4 pay, and weekend or bank holiday at 1 1/2. Well they'd paid all my overtime at the lower rate! When I called to report the error, they told me they would get it fixed for next month's paycheck. As it happens, I don't need the money (about £60) until next month anyway, but I've had plenty of tight months where that would have hurt to lose even that amount of cash. It was definitely payroll's mistake, not mine (I kept a scan of my overtime forms, so I checked to be sure), so I shouldn't have to wait an extra month to get it. But... not worth it to me. Dealing with HR is so disspiriting that I avoid it whenever possible.

Anyway, did one hour last night, and more to come over the weekend. It's work at home, which I *love*. Before they let us do that, weekend overtime was awful because the people who want Radio One playing (really loud :() seem to have more influence than the people who think everyone should wear headphones if they want music. But now that I can work at home, they get a lot more extra out of me!

Hello, i'll join in if possible.

My aim is to do at least one or two days overtime per month as we get paid double for any weekend work. As yet this month i've done 8 hours :T

Hello overtimers! How is everyone doing? I've done 5 hours today, and am hoping to manage at least 2 more. :)

Well overtime continued this week so took a weeks paid holiday from my 2nd job so i could work overtime (how sad is that:rotfl: ) all for a few hours!

So for Februarys wage i've got 2 hours at time and a half and for March wage i've got 8 hours and the possibility of working 2 hours 2moro if i can get out my bed in time.

Only problem is we've all been doing overtime and all the work is now up to date so got a funny feeling 2moro will be the last day

At least i should have 10 hours for my March wage

  • Well done guys! Great news and sounds like everyone has been working their little behinds off to get the extra overtime!

Went back to work and been signed off sick again for this week. Am hoping to go back next week on reduced hours with mostly working from home... so no overtime for me for a while!
